A California influencer, Natalie Reynolds, has received backlash for her recent collaboration videos with Gypsy Rose. One video has the pair listing their past actions and repeating “we listen and we don’t judge.” Following the backlash, the influencer posts an anti-apology video where she accuses people of just being jealous.
Both women are controversial figures and have been recently spotted together in Florida. Over 14 million have viewed the first video, while over 3 million have viewed the second. Both videos have received thousands of comments complaining about how casual they are about their past actions. Rose served eight and a half years in prison for her mother’s murder, while the California influencer has been previously under fire for pranking a homeless woman.
The video lists these actions, along with smelling farts, wearing wigs, and faking pregnancy, as indiscretions that “we don’t judge.” The video ends with Rose walking off when the California influencer laughs at her confession of using a towel to wipe. Reynolds states, “It’s just a game.” The video has received backlash, with many not finding it funny.
The California influencer has since posted a follow-up video addressing the backlash. In the video, she claims, “I regret absolutely nothing.” She states that while everyone is making them sound horrible, all they did “was take accountability for [their] past actions.” Her reason is that everyone makes mistakes and that people are just looking for a reason to judge Rose. She argues, “You guys are so jealous of Gypsy and I, because we’re both celebrities and living our best lives.” Rose has also defended the video in a comment, “We were NOT making fun or joking. Accountability looks like growth.” This video has also come under fire.
California Influencer Faces Backlash
Many feel that the first video wasn’t funny, with some calling it “actually sick” and others saying, “We listen, and we call a judge.” Another agrees, “This whole video is concerning.” One says, “The fact she jokes about it doesn’t seem right to me.” The second video has many taking issue with her accusation that people are jealous of her celebrity status. Many have called this out, such as, “Wait, celebrity? Who the heck are you?” Several also point out that they “didn’t hear an apology.”
Both women have been in the media for the past actions they list. Rose has received mixed reactions for her mother’s death, while the California influencer has had repeated controversy. The videos have gained attention for how casually they can joke about these actions. For this reason, many have found the first video disturbing. The second video has caught attention for being disguised as an apology video, only for Reynolds to claim she has no regrets. The videos have garnered a new controversy from their old ones.
The two women have posted several collaboration videos, from dancing to therapy, which have received mixed responses.
