An Uber driver in Houston, Texas, was taking a passenger home when, suddenly, a lightning storm struck. Hilariously, both women began freaking out with the sheer force of nature, bonding over their respective jump scares and making the internet laugh out loud.
Leena, the Uber driver, known online as ridezvibez, shared the stormy trip on her TikTok. She is no stranger to posting funny or even bizarre Uber interactions, with some of her clips reaching millions of views. This time around, her video garnered 1.3 million views, 283,600 likes, and 450 comments.
From the get-go, the Texas driver was fully aware that the weather wasn’t ideal. It was windy, and she even saw a “poor bird” struggling to fly against the wind. Immediately after saying it was “thundering,” lightning struck right next to her vehicle. Shocked and scared, both women inside the vehicle watched in horror, covering their mouths with their hands at the same time.
More lightning strikes continued, and Leena began to scream, urging her passenger to check for a tornado warning. She started to drive away, but her shrieks wouldn’t stop, just like the lightning.
“Oh my god, this is so bad. We’re right underneath this thing,” the Texas Uber driver said, referring to an electric pole. She continued, “Freaking armits are sweating and [expletive]. I’m about to pee on myself.”
Eventually, the passenger arrived home, and Leena was so nervous that she almost invited herself inside.
“My goodness. Thank god we are almost home to get…” she said. “We? Haha, I don’t live with you.”
Everyone Wants To Ride With Her
The viral video sparked multiple responses online. Some viewers really liked the idea of having someone like Leena as their Uber driver. One user commented, “Immediately five stars and tipping $20.” Another one agreed, saying, “Five stars, a big tip, and you’d be invited into my home.”
Others found Leena’s reactions hilarious, as well as how she interacted with her passenger. One viewer wrote, “The fact you’re her Uber and not like best friends makes this 10x funnier.” Another one asked, “So y’all friends now or what???“
Over-the-top, albeit genuine, interactions such as Leena’s have a good leg to stand on in the virality department. Given that the Texas Uber driver has built a brand out of how she handles business, it is no wonder this latest clip and all her previous ones are a massive online success.
Fortunately for her fans, it looks like Leena’s Uber chronicles will continue for the foreseeable future.
