When a California man is visiting a grocery store, he hears a Karen being rude to the employee checking out her items. Apparently, the employee was being too slow for her liking. What happens next is a back-and-forth that ends in hilarity.
Moo (@www.muyiwadotcom) was recently Shopping at the Sprouts Farmer’s Market grocery store in Los Angeles. While he was putting his items on the belt at checkout, he started recording a conversation between the cashier and a Karen. The Karen can be heard telling the cashier that she’s doing “too much talking” and “moving too slow” for her liking. At this point, Moo records several people in the background, watching the scene unfold.
The cashier starts fighting back, but the Karen interrupts her. She calls her a cruel name and states, “I asked you a question.” Moo goes to return his basket to the basket station while you hear the two arguing with one another in the background. Finally, he returns to hear the cashier loudly telling the woman that her card “declined.” The Karen says, “That’s okay. I have plenty of them” to which the cashier responds, “Good for you.”
But that isn’t the end of it. The angry customer uses the tap feature for her second card but gets no results. She says, stunned, “It’s not working.” The cashier gives her a little attitude but tries to help. To this, the Karen tells her to “shut up” and calls her “ugly.” When she finally gets the card to go through, the cashier yells out, “Declined!” for everyone to hear. She uses a third card, and this one apparently works, because it’s where Moo’s video ends.
The video immediately sparked reactions from those who wanted to speak out about how the woman was treating the cashier. One commenter stated what most of us were thinking: “Being rude and then having your card decline is the universe telling you that you are wrong.” Another commenter quipped, “That tone got REAL quiet when that card declined.”
