A video doing the rounds online has put users in for a painfully awkward encounter that took place inside a Dollar General in Hodges, South Carolina. The almost six-minute-long video features a woman wearing a nightgown, holding shopping bags and a cellphone, throwing an endless volley of expletives at a Black employee ringing up purchases behind the register. What holds your gaze isn’t her rampage, but the employee who barely flinches through the whole thing.
A video shared on X by @Fights_Only_ shows a heated confrontation inside a Dollar General in Hodges, South Carolina, where a white female customer aggressively argued with a Black female employee over an alleged incident at the checkout counter.
The customer claimed she had been hit with a can. However, the employee denied the accusation and urged the woman to move on, repeatedly asking her to “get out of my line and go about your business.”
Despite the escalating situation, the employee remained composed and continued to assist other customers.
As the dispute continued, the customer became increasingly hostile, hurling insults and repeatedly using racial slurs while threatening the employee’s job.
She insisted she had been struck with a soda can, while the employee suggested reviewing store footage, saying the incident could be checked on camera.
Bystanders in the store began reacting to the exchange, with some calling out the customer’s behavior as inappropriate and unnecessary. “That’s wrong… that ain’t the way that grown people act,” one person said, as others urged the situation to calm down.
The video ends without any physical altercation. The identities of both the customer and employee have not been publicly confirmed.

Of course we didn’t see the entirety of it.” Another made a similar point: “She should have kicked her out from the off, what a disgusting disgrace of a human, i feel sorry for the shop worker.”
A third focused on the employee: “Kudos to the employee for keeping her cool. The customer was afraid to go outside. Doom and pain were waiting for her. I’m thinking the customer had other things on her mind besides this encounter.”
