One of the most anticipated co-op titles of this year, which is likely on a lot of gamers’ radars right now, is Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. Even though it was recently announced, with only a release window given alongside a short yet impactful gameplay footage, Cold Iron Studios has been hard at work on this installment. On top of the class showcases, we know that there were a few previews of the horde mode in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, and by the looks of it, it is an upgrade in every possible way.
A Bigger and Better Horde Mode for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2

For those who don’t know, some lucky players got the chance to try the revamped horde mode of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, and so far, the impressions have been great.
For starters, and according to AvP Galaxy, this game mode still retains everything that made the original one stand out so much, but also revamps it in many ways to make it feel fresh. For starters, matches are much shorter, with some reaching 12 to 15 minutes. While you can end your run as soon as you complete the necessary waves, it seems you can continue fighting to get more rewards.
The areas where players will be able to play Horde Mode also seem great, with all of them providing different environmental challenges, but also benefits to some teams. And of course, classes are still the bread and butter of the game, with Specialist being one of the most anticipated ones, as it basically lets you create your own class by combining skills from others. And while that sounds like an OP class, at least for now, it seems there are also several new enemies that will test our skills, some of which we’ve already seen in some of the game’s trailers.
Even though all of these features sound exciting, players are hoping for an official release date soon. All we know is that this co-op experience will launch sometime this year, but we only hope that the wait won’t be long. The truth is that Aliens: Fireteam Elite brought the chaotic co-op experience to one of the most beloved sci-fi universes, and we can’t wait to experience it again with an extra player, more enemies, and the mayhem that only those in the Colonial Marines Corps are capable of.
