Audio issues aside, Summer Game Fest of 2026 was, hands down, one of the best we’ve had in years. We got announcements of several long-awaited games, the final reveal being a proper single-player title that many have been waiting for, and even the return of some legendary franchises that we thought were forgotten. And in case you missed any of these announcements, here we have a list of every major reveal during Summer Game Fest 2026.
Resident Evil Veronica
We all heard about the rumors of this long-awaited remake in several corners of the internet, but it is great to finally have confirmation about it. As you can see, it is getting the same visual treatment as other Resident Evil remakes, and what makes it even more exciting is that Claire is finally back in the spotlight. Plus, we’ll only have to wait a bit more, as it is confirmed to launch next year.
Mighty Cuphead Adventure
It’s been a while since we got a Cuphead title, and Mighty Cuphead Adventure was certainly a welcome surprise during Summer Game Fest. Now, beyond bringing the iconic hero back, what makes this one unique is that it is being developed for modern platforms, but also with compatibility for the Sega Master System home gaming console; that will be pretty interesting to see.
Alien: Isolation 2
All of us already saw the teaser, but it is now a reality, and a terrifying one at that, because Alien: Isolation 2 seems to be a step up in every way from its predecessor in atmosphere and horror. While we only got a glimpse at some gameplay details, we imagine it is going to be as tense as the first one.
Gen Atlas
The minds behind Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, and many more return with gen Atlas, and well, it is looking as gorgeous and as epic as ever. We also got to see some of the combat and towering menaces we’ll likely encounter when the game eventually launches.
Stranger Than Heaven
Stranger Than Heaven made another appearance, and this time, it even showed Tupac making his way to this action title. We also saw a lot of cast members joining the game, with some familiar names from the Like a Dragon series, such as Kiryu’s voice actor.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
One thing we were not expecting at all was the reveal of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, which not only adapts one of the best comics of the series, but it is also being developed by Platinum Games, one of the best studios when it comes to action games.
Crossfire
Crossfire is easily the narrative-driven shooter game we’ve been asking for years, and it looks like it will deliver. While we didn’t get a deep gameplay dive, we got to see the two characters leading this action-packed adventure, which is something the genre desperately needs.
Guild Wars 3
We all know that the MMO genre has felt stagnant recently, and even the legendary ones have hit some bumps on the road, but one of the biggest Summer Game Fest surprises was the announcement of Guild Wars 3. While we don’t have gameplay aspects yet, we imagine it will be as great, if not better than Guild Wars 2.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
The true pod racing adventure is right around the corner, and to commemorate the imminent release date of October 6, Star Wars: Galactic Racer unveiled its story trailer, which is a proper Star Wars story, and one that feels extremely original, at least from what we’ve played recently.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads
After a long time waiting, RGG Studio finally unveiled Virtua Fighter Crossroads, delivering gorgeous visuals, a varied cast of characters, and, of course, some fighting sequences that really look like the evolution of fighting games.
1666 Amsterdam
Another welcome surprise of Summer Game Fest was 1666 Amsterdam, which looks like the spiritual successor of Assassin’s Creed, but with a touch of magic, a beautiful art style, and intriguing combat mechanics. The great news is that you can all play the prologue for free right now.
SAW: Genesis
Blobber Team is back with another surprise, and that is SAW: Genesis, a 3v1 multiplayer game, where one takes the role of a precursor to Jigsaw, as they try to take players out with some iconic and brutal puzzles and trials.
Lords of the Fallen 2
Lords of the Fallen 2 made an appearance, showing all the platforms it will be available on. But beyond that, we also got to see some gameplay clips of some of the menacing bosses we’ll face once this long-anticipated sequel launches.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
With its release date extremely close, The Blood of Dawnwalker unveiled yet another trailer, showcasing some of the story beats we’ll experience when the game launches, but also talking about the future saga, where we’ll see Coen’s story take place in a more familiar time.
Star Wars Zero Company
XCOM and Star Wars fans can rejoice because we finally got a proper look at some gameplay of Star Wars Zero Company during Summer Game Fest. We’ll be able to customize our crew from different races and even android forms, as well as use different classes, from force users to good old blaster wielders. Oh, and it is launching on August 27, which is pretty close.
Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance
Hunters worldwide were expecting this already, but they were not ready to see just how massive the Monster Hunter Wilds expansion would be. While we only got a teaser, we already saw some familiar towering faces, what seems to be a new combat mechanic for the expansion, and even some new styles for the crew that will be joining us for this adventure.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush
Racing titles are having a comeback lately, and the one that join the fray is Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, which seems to take a more Forza approach in terms of a bigger world to explore but with the same iconic Hot Wheels vehicles we love.
Attack on Titan 3
Koei Tecmo is back with Attack on Titan 3, and it is ready to deliver the conclusion to one of the most impactful and iconic anime and manga series of recent times. Besides the gorgeous visuals, we also got to see the fast-paced combat, which is the best we’ve seen in any Attack on Titan games.
Clutch
Clutch surprised us all with a more narrative-driven (no pun intended) racing title that also brings an open-world game made by some of the creative minds behind Forza. So, if you want to try your luck in yet another race, Clutch is definitely one title you need to keep your eye out for.
Sea of Remnants
NetEase shared a new and catchy trailer for Sea of Remnants, showing many more characters that we hadn’t seen, as well as some of their combat moves that we’ll likely see when the game launches. While it is still a bit far away, players can pre-register for it now.
Palworld 1.0
It’s been a long road for Palworld, but it is finally reaching its 1.0 version on July 10th. To celebrate it, the studio released a beautiful cinematic trailer, showing some of the Pals we’ll be bringing along for the ride, and even some potential threats we’ll have to face.
The Wolf Among Us 2
Many of us thought Bigby had hung up the detective coat, but we finally got to see his comeback during Summer Game Fest. The Wolf Among Us 2 will arrive in 2027, and while we don’t know the exact date, we can spend some time playing the upcoming remaster of one of Telltale’s best titles.
Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN
As some of you may know, ShiftUp was already cooking a sequel for Stellar Blade, and this time, publishing it on their own, and well, we now know its name. Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN is the next adventure in the Stellar Blade universe, with a new protagonist, a huge new world, and the iconic combat mechanics we saw in the first title.
Street Fighter 6 – Year 4
Capcom decided to give us yet another surprise, and it was the announcement of Street Fighter 6 – Year 4, which includes four new characters: Bosch, Yasmine, Arjun, and one of Final Fantasy‘s most powerful and beloved characters: Tifa.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation
Last but not least, Summer Game Fest closed one of the best shows we’ve had in years with the announcement of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the last game in the trilogy, which will see Cloud and his friends reach the end of one of the series’ best stories ever. It is also launching sometime in the spring of 2027.
As you can see, this Summer Game Fest was full of surprises, and many that really had our jaws on the floor. While some of these titles are a bit far away, some are quite close, meaning that the rest of this year and all of 2027 will be full of superb games for all types of players.
