A Florida woman was confronted by a woman after she allegedly put trash on the ground outside her vehicle. Instead of nicely asking her to remove the trash, the woman turned to blatant racism. This sparked a loud confrontation in the parking lot that had this TikToker leaving her vehicle in anger.
Tay (@taywilliams118) was approached after she allegedly left garbage on the ground outside her vehicle in a parking lot. An elderly woman walked up to her vehicle and asked Tay, “Hey, is that your trash on the ground?” Tay told the woman that it was none of her business. The woman told her she was “part of a community” and that it wasn’t respectful leaving her garbage there. This is when Tay started recording the confrontation, which quickly spiraled out of control.
In the video, Tay asks the woman, “Why are you at my door asking me that?” The woman stutters and tells Tay she was just wondering if it was her garbage. Tay then asks the woman, “Are you gonna pick it up?” Tay asks the woman why she’s so worried about the garbage. Then, in a condescending tone, the elderly woman looks at Tay and says, “I ain’t your slave!” When Tay asks the woman who she’s talking to, the woman repeats herself.
Tay immediately exits her vehicle over this. She loudly screams at the woman, “I ain’t your slave, either, so get the [expletive] out of my face!” The woman tries to defend herself and talk back to Tay, who keeps screaming over her and won’t hear another word from her. She yells at her, “You listen! You better get the police.” Tay then tells the woman to “get away” from her and her vehicle.
In an update video, Tay talks about how hearing the “slave” comment set her off. She said she wanted to make sure that she made this woman “know she won’t ever say that [expletive] again.”
Commenters immediately reacted to Tay’s video. Many agreed that she shouldn’t have been littering, while others pointed out that racism is never right in any situation. As one commenter mentioned, “Your restraint is commendable.” Another quipped, “That was a demon trying to get you out of character.”
Other commenters, however, were too focused on the fact that Tay allegedly littered in the area. One stated, “So you was in the wrong.” A commenter replied to this, “There is absolutely no excuse for weaponizing racial slurs or slavery analogies over a piece of trash. Stop using a minor infraction to justify blatant racism.” Commenters continue to share their reactions and thoughts on Tay’s video, with many appalled by what happened to her.
