With how challenging Mortal Shell 2 is, players will be looking for ways to constantly patch themselves up and continue exploring without resetting the map. Fortunately, there is one Shell in Mortal Shell 2 that can help you do that, and it is Gragu. This helpful Shell will become available to you after a bit of exploring and a quick quest, so if you want the specifics, we’ve made a guide to unlock Gragu right here.
Unlocking Gragu in Mortal Shell 2

The first thing you need to do is locate the One-Legged Wolf Tavern in Mortal Shell 2, which will start the quest to get Gragu. You can find it in the southeast part of the map next to the One-Legged Wolf beacon. All you need to do is enter the Tavern and speak with Gragu, who is sitting at one of the tables.

After talking to him, you’ll learn of his predicament where he has an insatiable hunger and will then ask you to get the Heart of Vatra for him. To look for this item, exit the Tavern and take a right, then follow the road until you find some ruins with several statues of people around.
Here, you can solve a quick puzzle to open a chest, but if you only want to complete the quest, head to the back of the ruins to grab the Heart of Vatra.

With the Heart of Vatra in your possession, you can now return to Gragu. However, all the petrified enemies will wake up whenever you pass next to them, so you’ll be doing a lot of fighting to get back to safety. Fortunately, the enemies aren’t too hard, so you can just spam your normal attacks or Sidearm projecticles to carve a path. Back at the Tavern, give the item to Gragu and wait for the inevitable to happen, which will unlock him as a Shell.
Now, in terms of gameplay, Gragu has a punch that is similar to Eredim’s tackle, in terms of breaking enemies easily. Yet, the best feature of him is his ability to refill potions by just defeating enemies. If you run out of healing charges, just find enemies to beat, and you’ll get your charges back. You can further upgrade this ability to make the healing skill more powerful.
While we do think Proxima, Eredim, or Sister Genessa are better, Gragu is great if you want to farm enemies or do long exploration runs without having to go to a beacon.
