A man in Conroe, Texas, came across a scene he was not willing to let slide: a woman littering in a parking lot. He confronted her and even picked up the litter himself. The woman, according to him, told him she had emphysema. For some reason, that was her excuse.
The interaction was shared online by the crew behind GenTex Elite. A generator provider, the company usually shares its work online with its followers while promoting its services. The clip attached above, while off-brand, went viral quickly. It garnered 510,600 views, 48,000 likes, and more than 2,800 comments.
The Texas crew member immediately approached a vehicle parked outside a Goodwill. Various cloth tags lay on the ground next to an SUV, with a woman sitting behind the wheel.
“You gonna pick all that up? Are you gonna pick all these up?” the man asked the woman, confronting her.
Not A ‘Big Deal’
The man told the driver that he had watched her cut all the tags and drop them on the pavement. He even offered to give them back to her. Confused, the lady asked, “Who are you?” He said he wasn’t a police officer, but reminded her that littering was illegal. The woman was heard saying she didn’t think it was “a big deal.”
The man explained that a nearby ditch leads to a creek, a river, and eventually the Gulf of Mexico. Distraught, the woman apologized, and the man apologized for watching her litter, but insisted he was “glad” he did. Finally, the woman agreed to take back the tags after the man picked them all up.
The video then cut to the man telling the woman that having emphysema, a lung condition, was “no excuse to litter.” By the looks of it, the lady may have told the Texas crew member she had that condition, which somehow explained either the littering or her inability to pick up the tags herself.

In the end, the woman called the crew member a “good guy” as she received a bag full of cut cloth tags. Hopefully, she won’t do something similar again.
