A man in New York insulted a police officer over his job before calling him a “dirty pig.”
The man shared a video filmed from inside his car during a traffic stop. In the footage, the officer returned to the vehicle and addressed him as “sir” while handing back his ID and registration, along with a copy of a citation.
The officer then asked whether the man wanted him to explain anything or had any questions. Although the officer appeared respectful throughout the exchange, the driver began criticizing the officer’s tone. ‘I would just like you to start using a normal voice when you speak,’ the man told him. He then mocked the officer’s voice and said he did not need to put on that ‘cop voice,’ adding, ‘it’s performative.’
The driver continued insulting the officer, telling him, “You didn’t help me today. You’re just a dirty pig.” The officer responded by wishing him a good day, but the driver replied, “You have a horrible day.” He then called the officer a “[Expletive] loser.”
The video ended with the man commenting on the officer’s body, telling him, “You have a nice [butt] though.” In the caption, he also encouraged others to treat police officers the same way, writing, “The energy we all need to be bringing to fight #ICE #MAGA.”
Although the first video showed the traffic stop already underway, the man later shared a second clip showing how the interaction began. He displayed the same attitude in that footage. When the officer asked whether he had his ID, the man said yes and started to take it out.
“Where you headed to today?” the officer then asked. The driver responded aggressively, saying, “It’s none of your [expletive] business. That’s where I’m headed to. What about that?” The officer ignored the remark and followed up by asking, “Where you coming from?”
The question prompted the driver to turn toward the officer and say, “What’s up with you? You don’t have to ask me these questions. I don’t answer to pig.” The officer remained calm and asked why he could not ask the man these questions. The driver replied, “because it’s none of your business. You don’t have a right to.”
The video ended with the man handing over his ID and telling the officer, “here you go, pig.” In the caption, he also wrote, “You do not need to answer any of their questions.”
The man later shared a comment explaining why he felt comfortable confronting the officer in that manner. “100% I am mixed race but white appearing so I have privilege here. It is also sunny, during the day, I called the police chief who showed up as an additional witness to protect myself. There was a lot of safety precautions I took before feeling safe enough to engage in this manner. Many cops are racist (not all) and it’s not safe to engage. As a gay man this was also risky so please take precautions lgbtq+ fam.”

Many viewers online applauded the New York man for how he treated the officer, with some suggesting that more people should follow his example. “That was amazing,” one person wrote. Another commented, “im crying he def thought sat in his car and thought about that.”
Other viewers sympathized with the officer. “Honestly I understand the pops aren’t here to really help us but the man is doing his job.. unless he’s pulling you over for not doing anything wrong.. which I doubt but he didn’t deserve that honestly,” another commenter wrote.
The contrasting reactions reflected different views on how people should treat police officers, with some supporting the driver’s confrontational approach and others arguing that the officer didn’t deserve the insults.
