New York-Based Rapper Nicki Minaj Slammed Over Post Saying ‘Trump Is Still Your President’ After Democrats’ Midterm Win: ‘This Is Between the Actual Americans’

That’s a lot of backlash

New York-based rapper Nicki Minaj is facing online criticism after sharing a post saying “Trump is still your president” following Democrats’ midterm election victories.

The rapper shared a video of herself on X following Republicans’ midterm election losses. Alongside the video, she included several numbered points that drew criticism online. The first point attracted particularly strong backlash, as Minaj wrote, “Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT.”

Couple things:

1. Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT.
2. The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION.
3. Jesus is STILL LORD.
4. Great insight by the VICE PRESIDENT.
5. Knowledge is POWER.
6. Congratulations to all winners! Especially @RepLuna & @ByronDonalds.

In the remaining points, Minaj referred to herself as “the QUEEN” and claimed that she remained an obsession for her critics. She also expressed her Christian beliefs, writing, “Jesus is STILL LORD,” and praised Vice President JD Vance for his insight. The rapper congratulated the election winners, particularly Anna Paulina Luna and Byron Donalds, while criticizing what she described as a billion-dollar losing campaign involving celebrities.

Minaj also addressed her fans, known as the Barbz, writing, “I don’t vote, I VETO.” This appeared to reference Trump’s response to the Republican losses, as the president had emphasized his power to veto legislation passed by the incoming Democratic-controlled Congress. Trump also shared a picture of a red hat with the word “VETO” on it.

Minaj continued by telling her critics to “Stay tuned & STAY MAD.” She also expressed concern about Christians being killed and suggested that the election results might encourage people to become more politically aware, writing, “Maybe now our people will WAKE UP.” She ended the post by expressing her love for her followers.

In a follow-up post, Minaj added two more points, this time addressing Elon Musk and his social media platform, X. The rapper described Musk as a trillionaire and pointed out that her critics continued using his platform to express their opinions. “Elon is STILL a trillionaire and you are STILL posting on his app,” she wrote, adding that shareholders likely appreciated the activity. Minaj also praised Grok, the AI chatbot developed by Musk’s company xAI, describing it as a “phenomenal product” that had significantly improved her life. She ended the post by thanking the chatbot.

This is not the first time Nicki Minaj has faced criticism over her political views and support for President Donald Trump. The rapper has become increasingly vocal about her support for Trump and Republican politicians in recent months, including publicly endorsing several Republican candidates.

Her political statements have drawn backlash from fans and social media users who disagree with her views, with some criticizing her association with the Republican Party. Despite the criticism, Minaj has continued to express her political opinions publicly, with her latest post following Democrats’ midterm election victories adding to the controversy surrounding her political stance.

Fans Slam New York-Based Rapper Over Trump Comment

Many fans online criticized New York-based rapper Nicki Minaj over her post, particularly her comments about Trump. Some brought up her citizenship status, questioning her involvement in American politics. “[Expletive] shut your non voting [expletive] up. This is between the actual Americas [sic]. It doesn’t concern you,” one person wrote.

Another criticized her comments about Elon Musk and Grok, saying, “You are genuinely such a nasty, morally bankrupt person. You care more about defending a billionaire’s bank account than the future of actual human beings. The fact that you’re proudly admitting a chatbot changed your life while displaying absolutely zero empathy or compassion is genuinely embarrassing.”

Others continued criticizing Minaj, with some questioning her citizenship status and bringing up legal issues involving her family. “You ain’t getting those pardons or a citizenship,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Trump is still a convicted felon & so are you brother & husband. You owe your lawyers 250K dollars by the way-.”

The backlash surrounding Minaj’s latest post reflects the criticism she continues to face over her political views and public support for Trump. With the midterm elections reigniting political tensions across the country, her comments have once again divided fans, showing just how quickly a celebrity’s political opinions can overshadow their music and spark heated debate online.
