This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

With the latest indie sensation taking the PC community by storm, it’s safe to say that Zeekerss’ mysterious sci-fi loot ’em up is a veritable smash hit. And as is par for the course when it comes to creepy horror experiences, there are enough eerily shocking and sidesplittingly hilarious snippets of gameplay to pore over. Case in point: the latest clip is a reminder to all Lethal Company players to check the weather before heading out and exploring those alien worlds.

Lethal Company Player Shows Everyone Exactly What Not to Do in Stormy Weather

In a nutshell, the weather in Lethal Company is incredibly important. Why? Well, we won’t spoil it straightaway. Instead, we’ll just give you a moment to check out this 9-second tidbit of footage courtesy of Reddit user McFllurry as it explains everything you need to know. We highly recommend listening with the sound on, though.

As you can see, when it’s raining on a moon or planet in Lethal Company, you won’t just have to contend with deadly quicksand or floods. Nope, you’ll also have to deal with lightning storms that can kill you in one hit. The thing is, if you’re carrying anything that’s made out of metal, the game will not be best pleased and will instantly zap you to kingdom come for your lack of due diligence, as illustrated in the amusing clip above. Pretty brutal, right?

6 Survival Tips and Tricks for Lethal Company

For those unaware, Lethal Company tasks up to four players to land on dangerous, procedurally generated planets in a bid to collect loot for the evil corporation interstellar Company that they work for. While on paper that sounds like an easy enough task, almost everything in the game is trying to kill you.

Combine this with almost zero tangible tutorials, proximity-based voice chat, and almost no clear-cut objectives to speak of, and you’re left with one of the most unique and peculiar horror experiences of the year, which is likely why it’s become such an overnight success.

In fact, not only has Lethal Company consistently hit 100,ooo concurrent players since it launched into Early Access last month, but its word-of-mouth buzz has only seen the title grow exponentially.

Nevertheless, one thing is for sure: be certain to check the weather in Lethal Company before heading out into the unknown. You’ve been warned!
