A$AP Rocky was asked about his growing family in a new interview, and he may have accidentally spoiled the gender of the couple’s baby.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are the parents of two beautiful little boys. Their oldest son, RZA Athelston Mayers, was born in May 2022. Meanwhile, their second son, Riot Rose Mayers, arrived a year later in August 2023. Naturally, many fans have predicted the pair will welcome another boy later this year. However, a recent comment made by the rapper has everyone second-guessing the gender of their baby.
Over the weekend, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky attended the world premiere of the new Smurfs movie in Brussels. The film, which hits theaters on Friday, July 18, is produced by Rihanna and even features her as Smurfette. To complement the theme, the pop star wore a baby blue ensemble that highlighted her pregnant belly. A$AP matched her in a blue dress shirt, tie, and pants. Despite their blue attire, the couple hinted they may be having their first girl.
Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier tried to get A$AP to spill the details by asking him, “Is that the girl you’ve been waiting for?” to which the musician responded, “It is, man, it is.” However, before you get too excited, it’s possible he was just joking. A$AP proceeded to hold up a Smurfette toy and said, “Right here, right here,” implying he was talking about the plushie and not his and Rihanna’s actual child. Still, Frazier attempted to get A$AP to clarify his answer by telling him he knows what he was actually “asking.” However, A$AP refused to budge. Instead of commenting any further, he hugged Frazier and then ended the interview.
Fans React to His Comment
So, what did A$AP Rocky mean? Some fans think his comment wasn’t meant to be taken seriously, as he probably wouldn’t reveal the baby’s gender that easily. After all, he likely came prepared to dodge invasive interview questions about Rihanna’s pregnancy. “You will NEVER catch Rocky slipping!!!!” one person said. “Keem ’em guessing,” another wrote. However, others are convinced he did accidentally spoil the baby’s gender. “He definitely gave it away,” read one comment.
It seems fans won’t get their answer until Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s third child arrives. The pair hasn’t revealed any information about the singer’s due date. However, rumor has it she’ll give birth either sometime in late fall or early winter.
