Every Scientist Job in Abiotic Factor
Out of the nine Scientist Jobs available in Abiotic Factor, there’s sure to be one for you. Let’s check out each of them and what they can do for you.
Lab Assistant Job
First, let’s take a look at the Lab Assistant job. This job really is more of an entry position job, which mean you’ll have 10 Starting Points to craft your abilities into something much more specialized in the fields that you need. If you’re rolling as a Lab Assistant, you’ll probably want to focus on more of a Stealth build, since assistants are typically pretty good at staying out of everyone’s way, being fast to accomplish the tasks they’re given, and just showing loads of ambition. To start out, you’ll have the following points:
- +3 Sprinting
- +3 Sneaking
- +2 Strength
Epimedical Bionomicist
Being an Epimedical Bionomicist gives you a few advantages when it comes to healing and gardening. As an Epimedical Bionomicist, you do plenty of research on live subjects and you have a great understanding of the human body. More specifically, you’re well-versed in the art of assessing and treating injuries, ailments, and my harm that could come to a human. Because of this fact, you’re pretty good when it comes to medical abilities. Since this build is a bit more specialized, you’ll only have 9 Starting Points. It’s suggested that Epimedical Bionomicist Scientists should focus on a Medic build. Here are the points that you’ll have when you begin:
- +3 First Aid
- +1 Cooking
- +1 Agriculture
Trans-Kinematic Researcher Job
The Trans-Kinematic Researcher job is a bit different from other ones, since you technically have two different PhDs. You can do quite a bit, and most of it is pretty in line with what you’d need for a Defensive Combat build. You’re pretty fast on your feet, you’re in good shape, resilient, and you’ve got the physical capacity to take a few hits before you get taken down. This job gives a total of 8 Starting Points, and you can use it for quite a bit of combat training. However, it’d important to note that you’ll be better with certain weapon types over others and to pay attention to your points. When you begin, you’ll have points in:
- +2 Bunt Melee
- +2 Fortitude
- +2 Sprinting
- +2 Strength
Archotechnic Consultant
An Archotechnic Consultant has a certain flair for architecture, and it shows in just about everything they do. If you want to be your group’s go-to builder or crafter, than this is definitely the Scientist Job for you. Based in your impressive fabrication and tooling skills, it only makes sense that the suggested role for an Archotechnic Consultant is a Builder. You’ll start out with 7 Starting Points, and you’ll have a bit more when it comes to the art of crafting and construction. When you start out, you will have the following points already:
- +2 Construction
- +1 Strength
- +3 Crafting
Phytogenic Botanist Job
Phytogenic Botanists tend to have an affinity for plant life, and they definitely like to experiment with them and see what kind of exotic specimens they can come up with. While the farm life would typically be your first choice, the lab just calls to you. You have increased abilities with biosciences, how things grow, and most importantly, genetics. The recommended role for a Phytogenic Botanist is a Gardener, and you’ll start out with 9 Starting Points to further your skills. When you begin a Phytogenic Botanist job, you’ll have the following points:
- +3 Agriculture
- +2 Cooking
- +2 Strength
Somatic Gastrologist
The Somatic Gastrologist profession is one for those who tend to like cooking. However, this role takes it a step further. You understand nutrition better than most, as well as physiology and biochemistry. You know the human body, as well as your own body and you definitely know how to take care of it. The obvious suggested role for a Somatic Gastrologist is Chef, and you start out with a total of 9 Starting Points, with the addition of quite a few points into the skills you’ll need for your trade:
- +2 Sharp Melee
- +1 Fortitude
- +4 Cooking
Paratheoretical Physicist Job
A Paratheoretical Physicist functions on their knowledge of, well, theories. However, that’s not all. You also have this strong understanding of movement, trajectories, and how items fly through space. With a passion so based on theoretical situations, when you put your mind to it, you can create some pretty intense structures, throw like nobody’s business, and invent new objects with ease. The best role for a Paratheoretical Physicist is either Utility, or Throwing. You’ll start out with 8 Starting Points, but you’ll also have some extra points into quite a few different skills:
- +3 Throwing
- +3 Crafting
- +1 Sneaking
- +1 Reloading
- +1 Construction
Defense Analyst
Being a Defense Analyst is really all about being an over-paid scientific security guard. While that might sound somewhat negative, I won’t attempt to downplay the usefulness and intuition that can be displayed by a Defense Analyst. Their job is to keep the GATE facility safe, and while that might not have gone too well the first time around, there’s always time for a comeback. With a strong respect for strategy and defensive maneuvers, it only makes sense for a Defense Analyst to focus on Offensive Combat. These jobs start out with 5 Starting Points, but they have loads of additional skills available as well:
- +2 Fortitude
- +2 Strength
- +1 Blunt Melee
- +2 Reloading
- +2 Accuracy
Summer Intern Job
Being a Summer Intern means that you have loads of opportunities. You’re just getting your foot in the door and you’ve got a ton to learn, but you also pick up on everything else that goes on around you. This profession isn’t particularly specialized, and you can really take it in any direction necessary. Any Build really works with a Summer Intern, since they haven’t earned their PhD quite yet, and they have time to put into determining their field of expertise. You get no additional skill points, but you also start out with 12 Starting Points to shape your scientist into anything you want.
