An Arizona Uber driver showed up to pick up her riders in the early morning hours. But what she discovered was a surprise to her: The women questioned her, wondering why she was there. It turns out, she wasn’t the Uber driver they were expecting. She was met with anger and concern, and wonders why this happened.
TikToker @coachcentearious showed up to pick up two women and take them for their ride to the airport. One of the women walked up to her and stated, “You’re not my driver.” The Uber driver identified the woman as ‘Lisa’ and said that she’s definitely her driver. But Lisa wasn’t having it. She said, “When I booked this ride, you weren’t the one who accepted it. You’re not supposed to be here.”
@Coachcentearious said that Lisa wouldn’t get in the vehicle and her friend wondered why. Lisa turned to her friend and said, “She’s not supposed to be here. This isn’t acceptable.” The Uber driver questioned why it’s unacceptable. She tries to tell Lisa that she asked for a woman driver and she got that woman driver. So, she wonders why it’s an issue that the driver isn’t the exact one she asked for.
Juneteenth Was Brought Up During Arizona Uber Drama
@Coachcentearious told Lisa, “Respectfully, it’s Juneteenth and I don’t have the patience.” She asked Lisa if she was going to get in the car and accept the ride or not. All Lisa said is that she had never heard of “Juneteenth” and then told her, “You’re not supposed to be here.” At that point, the Uber driver had had enough. She basically told them to have a nice day and closed up her trunk so that she could leave without the two women.
This Uber driver said that the two women didn’t take their ride to the airport. On top of that, she said the Karen got charged for a cancellation for not actually taking the ride. She would have also had to book another ride, which probably made her and her friend late to the airport. As she tells her audience, “That was 100% preventable,” and they could have accepted the ride in peace.
Commenters immediately reacted to this TikToker’s video, sharing their opinions on what the woman did. One commenter stated that they think it was a race-related issue, sharing, “We KNOW what the issue was.” Another commented, “I’m not begging anyone to get in my car.”
Other commenters shared what they would have said in the same situation. One commented, “At this point, I am now uncomfortable and don’t want to be your driver.” Another stated, “You exercised more patience than I would have.” Commenters continue to react to the video, sharing a variety of opinions on the matter.
