You will spend dozens of hours playing BG3 searching for the perfect equipment. As you know, in Grymforge you can create unique Adamantine items that will give you useful advantages in battle. Here you will learn the best Adamantine items in Baldur’s Gate 3. There are 6 Adamantine items in total, and each of them is unique in its own way, so we’ll cover all of them, from the worst to the best. Check out our top list to see which one you should focus on getting.
BG3: Best Adamantine Items – Ranked
Each Adamantine item is not easy to obtain, as they cannot be bought or found anywhere. To achieve this, you will need to find the necessary materials for crafting, and then create them on Adamantine Forge. Don’t worry, in the description of each item, we will tell you what materials are required for creation.
6. Adamantine Mace
Effects | Craft materials |
1d6+1 Bludgeoning damage |
|
+1 Enchantment | |
You apply the Reeling debuff to an enemy for 1 turn after a successful one-handed attack with this weapon
Causes critical damage to all objects
Ignores immunity to Bludgeoning damage
You get Concussive Smash |
We placed Adamantine Mace in the last position because it’s more of a tool than a weapon. With Diamondsbane, which helps you deal critical damage to objects every time, you can break down walls and other objects much faster to clear a path. Nevertheless, you can use this weapon from the beginning to learn the mechanics of the mace, and then sell it for 190 gold if you wish, or keep it as a souvenir if it is your first Adamantine item in Baldur’s Gate 3.
5. Adamantine Scimitar
Effects | Craft materials |
1d6+1 Slashing damage |
|
+1 Enchantment | |
Get Reeling debuff for 1 turn after successful attacks with this weapon
Causes critical damage to all objects
Ignores immunity to Slashing damage
You get Lacerate and Flourish |
For Scimitar fans, this weapon will be a great choice, considering its advantages. You’ll be able to easily and quickly deal one or several hits without worrying about how strong the enemy is. This weapon is ideal for characters with high agility and will be a great item in most of your battles. Even though it is almost at the end of our list, this does not mean that its effectiveness is low, but only because other Adamantine items in Baldur’s Gate 3 have their own advantages that exceed the effects of this weapon. If you find a weapon that you like better, you can sell Adamantine Scimitar for 190 gold.
4. Adamantine Shield
Effects | Craft materials |
Armor Class +2 |
|
You gain immunity to critical hits
An enemy gains Reeling debuff for 2 turns if it misses you during a melee attack
You get the Shield Bash |
This is perhaps one of the best shields in the game, and we recommend using it if you have the opportunity. The shield is perfect for almost everything, and it can be equipped for any class, regardless of the character’s armor proficiency. This way, you can resist critical damage for vulnerable characters or if they are in low health. Also, the shield is great for boss fights if you want to use someone as a tank. If you feel comfortable without the shield, you can sell it for 190 gold.
3. Adamantine Longsword
Effects | Craft materials |
|
|
+1 Enchantment | |
|
|
Causes critical damage to all objects
Ignores immunity to Slashing damage
You get Rush Attack, Pommel Strike, Lacerate |
Longsword is the best Adamantine weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3 among others. This is due to the large number of advantages it provides and in addition, you can also use it for combat, both with one hand and two hands. This universal weapon is ideal for long battles or boss fights. Unlike other Adamantine weapons, this sword will be useful even in Acts 2 and 3. How you use it is up to you, but if you are not a fan of long swords, you can sell it for 250 gold.
2. Adamantine Scale Mail
Effects | Craft materials |
Armor Class 16 |
|
Armor Class bonus from Dexterity limited to +2
All incoming damage is reduced by 1
An enemy gains Reeling debuff for 2 turns if they hit you in close combat |
Adamantine Scale Mail is a great armor because it gives you almost all the effects of Adamantine Shield. In addition, you don’t have to put significant effort into crafting it because all the materials are within easy reach. This armor will suit almost all of your characters and can serve until the end of the game. We recommend combining it with the Adamantine Longsword to get even more advantages in combat, including the fact that you will continuously debuff the enemies.
1. Adamantine Splint Armor
Effects | Craft materials |
Armor Class 18 |
|
No Armor Class bonus from Dexterity
All incoming damage is reduced by 2
Immunity to critical hits
An enemy gains Reeling debuff for 3 turns if they hit you in close combat |
The latest and greatest Adamantine item in Baldur’s Gate 3 will give you incredible advantages in battle. This is practically a better version of Adamantine Scale Mail, but it doesn’t have the Dexterity bonus. Despite this, you will be able to impose a debuff on the enemy for up to 3 turns, which in most cases will put you in a winning situation. With other Adamantine items, you can turn your character into a killing machine with immunity to damage and a bunch of other useful effects. We definitely recommend using this armor to succeed.
