Still, after Billy Ray Cyrus‘ bitter divorce from Firerose and the nasty allegations that followed their split, fans may have thought it would be a while before he went public with a new relationship. Well, it’s been a few months since his divorce was finalised (in August 2024 after just seven months of marriage), and the musician has a new girlfriend: it’s none other than actress Elizabeth Hurley!
Hurley confirmed the romance with an Instagram post. Although the caption only wished fans a happy Easter, the photo said it all! The pair appears very cozy, with Cyrus kissing her cheek while wearing green bunny ears. Fans have reacted to the post with a mixture of support and pure shock.

One person who has given the relationship a big thumbs up is Hurley’s adult son, Damian Hurley. He reacted to the post with a red heart emoji and a celebration face emoji, and his mom liked his message.

Is this relationship the real deal? It’s impossible to tell when so little information about the coupling exists, but it is undoubtedly one of the more interesting celeb romances in recent months. And if they do split, they may remain on good terms because Hurley has a history of maintaining friendly relationships with exes, most notably her former partner, Hugh Grant.
Hurley and Grant dated for 13 years, but officially split in 2000. Despite their breakup, they are on great terms. “I’m still extremely good friends with Hugh,” she told People in 2021. “You know, we went through so much together. But I’ve been thinking, one of the most important things to keep good relations with your exes is to have a lot of respect for their current life.”
This news is a nice change for Cyrus, as recent media reports have been negative, including alleged tension with his son, Trace Cyrus.
