After revealing the characters’ identities and showing off some Zombies action in the Campaign, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now focusing on an off-brand Batman Arkham gadget. The Homing Knife has been introduced, a tool that you can throw, steer, and detonate at will, which sounds very much like the Remote Control Batrangs from the Arkham series. However, the usage of this tool is limited to a certain game mode, which isn’t in favor of some fans.
During the first gameplay reveal of Black Ops 6, a bunch of gadgets that players can use in the Campaign were revealed. This included the all-time Black Ops famous RC-XD and the Homing Knife. The new throwing knife is attached to a bomb, and you can steer it in any direction you want. Think of a smaller, more impactful, and faster Bomb Drone.
Now this is so overpowered to use in the Campaign, as you can literally flank anyone camping behind an MG. But do we get to use Batman’s gadget in the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Warzone? I don’t think so, however, fans would love that to happen, as far as the comments go.
Firstly, the Homing Knife’s control is in slow motion, just like the Remote Control Batrang. This can not be applied to Warzone and Multiplayer unless the speed is up to normal. Even if that happens, the Homing Knife will become so unbalancing for the competitive gameplay. Imagine players camping in the corners and throwing remote-controlled knives instead of actually shooting their guns.
In the best-case scenario, this cool Dark Knight gadget can be used as a killstreak in the Multiplayer. As of right now Treyarch has not confirmed nor denied the existence of the Homing Knife in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer or Warzone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024, for PS5, PS4,
