Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta is here, and as with most CoD launches during the past couple of years, we’ve got errors opposing our excitement. This article is purely made out of my pain trying to solve and fix some of the known errors while launching Black Ops 6 beta for the first time. So be sure that we’re not addressing things like “you have a poor internet connection” or “you need a beta code to be in the BO6 Early Access” as you have probably checked these things already.
Black Ops 6 Beta “Fetching Online Profile” Error and Matchmaking Failed Fix
This error has me dying to play the Black Ops 6 beta for hours. No matter the device, if you’re playing Black Ops 6 beta and everything looks fine until you start a match and it doesn’t let you in as it should have, then the “Fetching Online Profile” horror will reach you.
This error has 3 not-so-obvious reasons:
- Your settings are not synced (I’ll explain in details).
- The game files are damaged.
- Your Black Ops 6 purchase is not complete. Or maybe it’s just not confirmed and there’s an issue on your storefront’s end. Happens to Steam users mostly, especially if you’ve purchased the game on your mobile device.
First things first, when you migrate over from the MW3/Warzone Season 5 Reloaded UI to Black Ops 6, there might be a graphic settings issue going on. I have no idea how this helped me fix the problem, and that’s why I’m placing it here as the first solution. Here’s the fix:
- Reset the game.
- The game asks you for recommended settings, and please accept it! You can later change the settings.
In case you have the third problem with the Fetching Online Profile error in Black Ops 6 beta, you need to check if the game has been successfully added to your library. This is because, after the Call of Duty HQ integration in 2022, all of the recent CoD games including MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 6 are considered DLC content. That’s what Steam says.
If you’re sure that everything is fine with the purchase and you’re still being held off from playing the game, you have to check the files to fix this error. For some reason, we had to update Call of Duty HQ 3 times with Season 5 Reloaded, and any trouble in your connection that paused the downloading process could’ve damaged the files as well.
Do this on different platforms:
Steam:
- Choose Call of Duty HQ and right-click on it.
- Under the Properties> Installed Files section, you’ll find the Verify Integrity of Game Files option. Click on it, and wait until the process is complete.
Battle.Net:
- Select Black Ops 6 on the menu, and click on settings; that gear icon.
- From here you can choose to scan and repair.
Xbox:
- Press the pause button on your game, and select More Options> Manage.
- Here you’ll find a repair option to scan your game’s files.
PS5:
- RIP. If you have restarted, checked the game with any sort of DNS or different internet connection types and the matchmaking error is still there, best you can do is to reinstall Black Ops 6 beta.
If you’ve done all that, and still, when you’re in the game and you can not join a match whatsoever, the only solution is to delete the game and reinstall it. I unfortunately had to do this (on Steam), even though everything with the game files and the connectivity was green-checked.
Game Stuck At Loading Screen
Being stuck on the loading screen and waiting for 30 minutes wishing that this Black Ops 6 beta error would solve itself is genuinely a super optimistic wish — or it was for me, at least.
This probably has nothing to do with your connectivity or game files if you’ve already checked both. A simple solution is there: reset your console/PC, and try again. If it doesn’t show any life signs, then the error is from your connection, ping, or whatever that’s stopping your device from connecting to the Black Ops 6 beta servers.
