A woman in Illinois was praised by many online after she confronted an elderly man who allegedly took photos of children at Millennium Park.
According to those involved, a family noticed the man allegedly taking photos of their children while they were playing at the playground. When confronted, he initially denied photographing them. However, after the woman continued questioning him, he allegedly admitted that he had taken the pictures.
In the video, the elderly man was sitting on a bench holding his phone while the woman stood in front of him. She told him they had two options: they could either call the police or delete the images together. “What do you want me to do?” he asked. She replied that she wanted him to delete the video he had allegedly taken of the children.
The man responded that he had not taken a video. The woman told him to delete the content regardless of whether it was a video or a photograph. “That is absolutely not okay,” she said. He then showed her what was on his phone, and it turned out to be a still photo of the children rather than a video.
The woman then took the phone from the man’s hands. “I will delete this for you because God knows what you’re doing with this,” she said as she appeared to delete the photo. The man attempted to take the phone back, but she held onto it. The video ended before showing what happened next.
In additional details shared later, the family said they followed the man while trying to locate park security. They claimed he eventually left the park after the confrontation. According to the family, they also warned people and notified security about what they alleged had happened so others could remain alert.
