That was unnecessary

A Nevada man was filmed threatening to fight a stranger inside a McDonald’s with no apparent reason. The customer who was threatened later shared the video online and explained what had happened before he began filming. He started by asking whether anyone knew the man before saying that he had been looking at him since he entered the McDonald’s. The man then stood behind the customer and said something that sounded like, “Ohh you don’t like when people stand behind you do you?”

Following the question, the customer asked the man if he needed anything. The man then began “pacing around talking about how he wants to fight.” The video shared online showed the confrontation between the two.

At the beginning of the video, the man was seen pacing around when the customer asked him, “I thought you wanted to fight.” The man quickly turned around and responded, “I do. If you wanna fight, I will get it with you right now.” He then added, “I was just trying to be kind [expletive].”

The customer responded by asking why the man wanted to fight him. Instead of answering, the man continued pacing around the McDonald’s. He then approached an employee and asked, “Brother am I wrong in trying to be nice to people?” The employee responded and seconds later gave him his order, after which the man appeared to calm down and thanked him.

Instead of leaving, the man put down his order and told the customer, “You want some with me, let’s go outside man.” He continued mentioning the cameras inside the McDonald’s and insisted that they should go outside to fight. The customer again asked why he wanted to fight, to which the man responded, “because you are a douchebag.”

As the customer continued pressing the man to explain why he wanted to fight, the man told him, “Come. Come outside.” The customer eventually stood up to face him. “There’s no cameras out here. Let’s go,” the man said. The customer then responded by cursing at him in return.

“You shut the [expletive] up,” the customer said. Instead of letting it go, the man continued insisting that they fight. “Let’s go outside where’s no cameras,” he said. Some shuffling could then be heard in the video before the two men eventually stepped outside.

“Let’s go away from the cameras. There’s no cameras over here,” the man could be heard saying. The customer continued filming him and asked, “What’s your issue buddy? Talk to me.” The man simply paced around before saying, “I’m calling my cousin” and returning inside the restaurant. It remains unclear what happened next, although the customer later made an assumption about the man’s identity online that has not been confirmed.

Viewers Left Weirded Out by McDonald’s Interaction in Nevada

After seeing the video, many viewers appeared confused by the Nevada man’s behavior. Some focused on his repeated attempts to avoid the cameras, pointing out that surveillance cameras are common in public places. One Redditor wrote, “‘Let’s go outside where there’s no cameras?’ Bro, there are cameras EVERYWHERE.” Others speculated that the man may have been under the influence of drugs, although there was no confirmation of this. “Curious on why people don’t just completely ignore these kinda people clearly on drugs,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “Drugs are a hell of a drug.”

Several viewers also criticized the customer for engaging with the man instead of walking away from the confrontation. “Walk the [expletive] away. Doesn’t matter if you’re 100% right and he’s 100% wrong. You don’t know what’s on the other side of those threats and whatever that fast food is is not worth the potential medical costs even if you ‘win.’,” one person wrote. Another asked, “Did you put your phone in your pocket and keep recording? Wtf is this? Why did you go outside? Why did you talk to him at all?”

In the end, the confrontation was a reminder of how quickly an uncomfortable encounter with a stranger can spiral into something much more serious. While viewers disagreed over what may have happened before the camera started rolling, many agreed on one thing: sometimes the safest response is simply to disengage and walk away rather than risk turning an argument into a physical fight.
