Caitlyn Jenner takes a clear stand following Elon Musk‘s DOGE email to government workers across the United States demanding weekly career assessment. On Saturday, the Tesla CEO and special government employee sent out an email to millions of government workers asking “what did you get done this week?” He included a warning note that failure to respond to the mail would be considered an act of resignation. Despite his clear warning, several government agencies, including the FBI, Pentagon, and State Department reportedly advised their staff to leave the DOGE email unanswered, and wait for further guidance.
However, Musk doubled down on his threat on Monday, taking to his X platform to warn that “those who do not take this mail seriously will soon be furthering their career elsewhere.” Backing his point, the world’s richest man highlighted a video of MAGA representative Tim Burchett claiming that those who found the DOGE email upsetting were simply mad about the mail because they could not show what they’ve done, and most likely hadn’t done much.
Caitlyn Jenner Responds to Musk’s Email Threatening Federal Workers
In his caption accompanying the video, Burchett lauded the assessment email as a great idea. According to him, private firms conduct such employee assessments all the time, to ensure accountability. Therefore, he noted, government workers who received the mail also had to comply and show their work as requested. Transgender MAGA supporter Caitlyn Jenner echoed the same sentiment in her response to Elon Musk’s threat on X, admitting to enacting such policies in private businesses over the years. Jenner wrote,
“In my years of doing business, I always enacted similar policy; a summary of what the week had achieved, employee by employee. The impact it had was not just accountability to the boss, but a boost to employee pride, by reflecting on how much they have actually accomplished.”
Caitlyn Jenner’s response to Elon Musk’s DOGE email earned the nod of approval from fans, who voiced their agreement via the platform. Many pointed out they enjoyed giving their weekly or monthly performance assessment reports at their various workplaces because it offered them a chance to brag about everything they’d accomplished within the period.
Therefore, it made no sense that federal workers deemed themselves above such performance review. However, some fans stepped forward to point out the one apparent flaw in Elon Musk’s demands, which Caitlyn Jenner failed to address in her analysis of the DOGE email. One X user noted,
“Is Elon their boss or the CEO of the United States as the email came from him? We were told that he’s not even in charge of DOGE.”
Another fired,
“NO American answers to Musk.”
A third retorted,
“You are their boss, no? That’s the difference.”
Musk’s Email Demand Deemed Illogical

Some fans explained how irrational it was to have millions of Americans respond to an email about their performance, with only a limited number of DOGE agents available to review the responses. One X user pointed out that a more realistic approach would have been asking managers from various government organizations to ask employees for the performance reviews, which in turn would be forwarded to Elon Musk and his co-agents in well-organized reports.
Some MAGA supporters have also kicked against Elon Musk’s approach. U.S Senator John Curtis urged Musk to exercise compassion in his overall dealings, remembering the people in question were actual humans regardless of DOGE’s overall goals. Others have also criticized the tech mogul’s seeming lack of empathy in discharge of his special DOGE duties, which has seen thousands of Americans lose their jobs within the space of one month. The repercussions, most believe, would do more harm than good in the long run.
