A cleaning company in California is currently facing backlash online. This comes after its owner made statements and actions that were described as homophobic.
According to a customer of the company, they hired them to clean their house. After the third cleaning, the owner reportedly called the customer to say they were letting their toddler watch LGBTQ “propaganda.” The customer said the content in question was the animated film Thelma the Unicorn. Some viewers interpret the film as having LGBTQ undertones. “She said a lot of horrible, inaccurate things over the phone,” the customer wrote.
Following this call, the customer left a review warning others about dealing with the cleaning company. This came particularly after the owner allegedly negatively spoke about the LGBTQ community. The customer also said the film was not harmful to children. “The movie was about a pony that wanted to be famous, so she dressed up, but then realized that she liked herself more as the pony she was naturally,” they explained.
Instead of apologizing for what many saw as crossing a boundary, the owner doubled down. She left a response that was widely criticized. She acknowledged that her actions could be risky for her business but said she believed it was worth it. The owner then made additional statements that were described as homophobic. “I hoped maybe she did not realize the harm the LGBTQ has perpetrated on our kids in the last 8 years. So I told her,” she said.
The owner then made further claims, writing, “I have known many children personally ( we all do now) that were groomed by what they watched on t.v. And committed same sex sexual acts with their peers that they otherwise would not have done if not for the constant homosexual images being forced in front of them to look at.” She also claimed that LGBTQ content was “being shoved down our throats.”
The owner continued, writing, “It starts with an innocent rainbow and cute Unicorn image to welcome them in onto the LGBTQ path of friends, love and acceptance. So how are these harmless innocent images used as a grooming mechanism for small children?” She also made further claims, stating that the goal of LGBTQ is “Gender Care Reassignment,” referencing transgender people. She then added that after young kids transition, they are left to “kill themselves.”
She concluded by saying, “So I will not sit silent when I see innocence in harms way no matter how inappropriate my actions. This woman says l am the one to be warned of my violence towards the LGBTQ community- while she shows her grandchildren the LGBTQ way. To say she is a fool is not enough .she is in danger of being evil. As it says in the bible, ‘Woe to the Man who leads the innocent children astray.’ ‘It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.’ And no Liz, the point is not that I have offended the LGBTQ. But that the LGBTQ community and you are the offender of children!”
The situation is gaining attention because it shows a business owner making controversial statements in response to a customer review. It sparked discussion about the boundaries between personal beliefs and professional conduct. It also led to broader conversations about misinformation and the impact of inflammatory language.
Internet Users React to the Homophobic California Cleaning Company Owner
The post sparked reactions online. Many people were disturbed by the California owner’s comments about the LGBTQ community. “So gay people only started 8 years ago…because of tv. These people are so wilfully ignorant & loud,” one person wrote. Another commented sarcastically, “I should’ve known the LGBTQ was that organized back when they first worked together to get their logo up in the sky like that.”
More people criticized the owner, with one person writing, “that response is nuts.” Another replied, “If you can set aside how awful it is for a moment, it’s honestly fascinating to see the full worldview. Just layers upon layers of fear and misunderstanding and misinformation woven into a strange narrative.” Someone else added, “Gotta love the projection. Meanwhile her kids grew up on nickelodeon being groomed by epstein.”
The situation drew widespread attention due to the owner’s statements, which many viewers found harmful. This included the reported crossing of professional boundaries with a customer.
