As all CS:GO players know, before CS2, we could change the hand holding the weapon with the “cl_righthand 0” command or directly in the game settings. This setting was used by many players, including professional players. You may have been extremely surprised not to see this option in the game settings in CS2, and you may have found yourself here. In this article, we will talk about whether there is a left-hand ViewModel in CS2.
Can You Hold Your Weapon in Left Hand in CS2?
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to switch your weapon to your left hand in CS2. It’s unclear why Valve didn’t add this feature, but many players, including pro players, would like to see it come to CS2. But of course, it is not known for sure if CS2 will have a left-hand ViewModel or not.
In CS:GO, the “cl_righthand 0” command allowed you to use your weapon in either your right or left hand. However, this feature was not added to CS2, which must have been a step towards making everyone equal in the game.
Why People Prefer Left-Hand ViewModel?
You may be wondering why so many people are so angry about the removal of this feature. One of the main reasons for this is, of course, that left-handed people will normally want to hold their weapons with their left hand in CS2. Apart from that, many right-handed players were using the left-hand ViewModel in CS:GO.
There were even players who used it as a macro. The reason for this was that sometimes your character’s weapon or arm could block your view. With the “cl_righthand 0” command assigned to a specific key, you could quickly switch your weapon to your other hand. In this way, you could see places you wouldn’t normally see. In short, that is why players want to use their left hand in CS2.
