Conor McGregor is at the center of a new legal trouble. The former UFC champion faces a federal lawsuit alongside the Miami Heat from an anonymous woman who claims she was raped at the Kaseya Center.
Per the suit, the incident occurred on June 9, 2023, after Game 4 of the NBA Finals in June of 2023. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claimed McGregor’s security guard separated her from a friend after the game ended and took her to an area where the athlete showed up. The Dublin native reportedly whisked her away to the VIP men’s bathroom while his arena security stopped the accuser’s pal from entering the stall.
While in the bathroom, an allegedly intoxicated McGregor “attempted to forcefully place his unprotected penis into Jane Doe’s mouth without her consent.” He also reportedly put her “in an arm lock,” tried to rape her anally, and spat on her, per Daily Mail. The lawsuit also detailed how the famous fighter slammed her “against the wall face first” when she tried to escape. Jane Doe described McGregor as “under the influence of intoxicants and out of control” during the incident.
The lawsuit further accused the arena of gross negligence. The plaintiff claims they failed to keep a safe atmosphere by serving McGregor alcohol even after he was allegedly intoxicated.
Fans Clamor For Conor McGregor To Rot In Jail
This isn’t the first time the anonymous plaintiff has publicly accused the Irish boxer. In 2023, days after the incident, she filed a formal complaint. McGregor, however, denied the allegations, calling it “no more than a shakedown,” after a video of him leading the accuser to the bathroom surfaced. The case was eventually closed in October 2023 due to insufficient evidence.
This time, Jane Doe filed a civil suit. It seems she followed in the steps of one of McGregor’s alleged victims, Nikita Hand. Back in November, a jury found the 36-year-old martial artist liable of “brutally raping and battering” Hand at a Dublin hotel. An Irish court ordered him to pay $257,000 to the victim. McGregor has maintained his innocence in both cases. However, fans strongly disagree. Many believe he has a pattern of abuse.
“His chickens are finally coming home to roost,” one fan slammed. “It’s been a well-known fact that this man is a violent predator to women.”
“He is a sexual predator out of control. Dude needs to rot in a prison cell,” another comment read.
“He needs to be locked up with P Diddy,” a third fan urged, comparing McGregor to disgraced rapper Diddy.
“One day, Conor, the same karma that hit p diddy will hit you and your wife,” a similar remark read.
Conor McGregor’s attorney has released a statement to TMZ slamming the lawsuit. “Almost two years and at least three lawyers later, the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case, too, will be dismissed,” it read.
