Today, we’ll learn about The Final Shape expansion, Destiny 2‘s Season of the Witch, the upcoming new Faction and custom classes, and all the coming changes to the game. Today was a wild ride as we listened to every new thing announced in the Final Shape Showcase surrounding the final expansion for the game coming on June 4th, 2024. We’ll finally travel inside the traveler’s Pale Heart. When the expansion finally releases, everything will be new to us. With no open beta or guides pre-written on the campaign, we’ll be experiencing the same as everyone else will, as a new journey for all of us.

As we venture into The Final Shape campaign, we’ll explore an entirely new location: The Pale Heart of the Traveler. The Witness and your history and journey as a Guardian wholly shape the Pale Heart. As we venture through The Pale Heart, the location will evolve, showing us glimpses throughout our past and the history of the Light and Darkness Saga.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape will include new Super Abilities and Aspects for each Guardian type, along with the new campaign and The Pale Heart. Titans will receive a new Void Super and Aspect, Warlocks will get new Solar Supers and Aspects, and Hunters will get a new Arc Super and Aspect. Though, in addition, things will change just a bit more. We’ll have access to creating custom classes with interesting class abilities, a chance to combine exotic perks, and a whole new Subclass called Prismatic.

The Dread

Among the other big changes, one that stood out the most to me was the introduction of an entirely new Faction called the Dread. The Dread brings a whole slate of new enemies to the picture, with the addition of intense abilities that can make them much more of a challenge. The Dread bring to us a piece of the Traveler in the form of colossal bosses and pesky Grim who can take to the skies to battle.

Along with the fantastic new offensive-type additions to the Guardian subclasses, there will also be new types of weapons introduced into Destiny 2 with The Final Shape: Rocket Pistol Sidearm and the Support Frame Auto Rifle. The Support Frame Auto Rifle can deal damage while it heals your allies. Additionally, we will see more weapons from the original Destiny game and a brand-new Exotic Fusion Rifle.

Power System

A new Power system will be introduced into Destiny 2, allowing us to play with different players regardless of their Power levels! This will allow all players in the Fireteam to automatically scale their Power levels to that of the Fireteam leader so that playing activities together will be much easier.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
