While the Blind Well activity has been around for some time, it’s not a staple in Destiny 2‘s Season of the Wish. It’s not really a surprise, considering the whole season surrounds the Dreaming City and all the beautiful, purple-toned wonders that can be found within. However, in order to complete some of the weekly seasonal quests, challenges, and Triumphs, you need to put some time into the Blind Well runs. If you’ve done it before, great! If not, this guide’s for you. Let’s take a look at how to clear the taken-infested activity.

Head into your Destinations tab and select the Dreaming City. There, you can find The Blind Well, which is technically a Public Event. The way it works is a bit strange. You can take a Fireteam in with you, and it acts as if it’s an activity, much like The Coil or Riven’s Lair, but there isn’t really a limit to how many people can participate since it’s public, and anyone can join. It’s simply a public event that you can access from the map rather than having to run there on foot or by Sparrow. It is “Arcane Awoken technology with the power to split the seams between realities.” Sounds promising, right?

When the activity first begins, you’ll likely notice that there is an area marked by a large bubble. It’s marked by a waypoint on your screen. Thing is, it’s very important to stay inside that bubble, otherwise, you’ll take damage from the Darkness outside of it. Within the bubble, you get a buff called “Touch of the Sky,” which keeps you safe from Darkness.

While standing inside the Well’s bubble, you must defeat enemies to charge the Well. Every time you defeat an enemy, it deposits light into the Well, and increases the progress bar in your objective. Once the Well is charged, move onto the next one and repeat the process until you’ve charged all four of the Wells.

Defeat the Heralds of the Plague

After you’ve charged the four Wells in Destiny 2‘s Blind Well public event, it’s time to take on the final bosses. The enemies in question are the Herald of the Plague, which are giant, angry monsters who can only be damaged once you’ve taken out the minibosses in the arena. Each one is vulnerable until this happens. At at any given point, only one of the heads of the Plague can take damage at a time. That means you must take one out, all while getting attacked by the other, before you can finish off the last one and complete the event.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
