With Destiny 2 reworking the guardian classes, players are eager to find the best Solar 3.0 Titan build. Of course, every build won’t work for every player. It’s helpful to experiment a bit so you learn what works the most for your playstyle. Even so, we’ve come up with an example Solar Titan build that can help you achieve maximum damage.
Best Solar 3.0 Titan Build in Destiny 2
The Season of the Haunted update brought numerous new experiences for players to enjoy. One of which is the reworking of the three guardian classes: Titan, Warlock, and Hunter.
For Titan players, you’ll see some familiar aspects. However, the reworking is seen in many of the abilities. So, whether you’re a new or a veteran of Destiny 2, it pays off to focus on a new Solar 3.0 Titan build.
Titans are big on damage, both shelling it out and protecting against it. To help you find the right build, let’s break things down in terms of subclass and gear.
Solar 3.0 Titan Build – Subclass
In Destiny 2, it’s vital to have strong subclass abilities. These help whether you’re in PvP or focusing on finishing the various quests and challenges in the game.
The abilities below are what we feel have tremendous use in getting you a reliable Solar Titan build. We’ve broken them down alphabetically. Much of the Destiny 2 Solar Titan build focuses on Scorch damage.
- Consecration Aspect: With this Aspect, you can activate your Melee Ability while sliding. This lets you leap into the air and cause a wave of fire, damaging and Scorching enemies. You can activate it again while in the air so you can slam down and create another wave. This will Ignite the enemies with Scorch applied.
- Ember of Ashes Fragment: Add more Scorch stacks to your enemies with this Destiny 2 Solar Titan build an addition.
- Ember of Blistering: You get Grenade Ability energy when you defeat enemies with Solar Ignitions.
- Ember of Searing Fragment: Not only will you get Melee Ability energy by defeating Scorched enemies, but you also receive +10 to your Recovery stat.
- Grenades: Fusion and Incendiary are useful, but the Thermite excels here. Enemies caught in the area of effect not only receive damage, but they’ll become Scorched too.
- Hammer of Sol or Burning Maul Super Abilities: Both are great and boil down to how you play. Hammer of Sol is ideal for range fighters as it throws explosive hammers. Meanwhile, Burning Maul works for those who want to get up close as it creates flaming cyclones.
- Roaring Flames Aspect: When you deal with Final Blows using Solar ignitions or abilities, Solar abilities have an increase in damage.
- Throwing Hammer Ability: Good for range fighting, you throw a hammer to land damage. However, you pick it up to recharge your Melee Ability. Also, if you hit your target, you get a Cure buff.
- Towering Barricade Ability: Your Solar Titan defense in this Destiny 2 build, you get a staggering barrier of Light to use as cover.
You can also consider Ember of Torches, Ember of Eruption, and Solar Grenade as these can cause some devastating damage, especially with Throwing Hammer.
Solar 3.0 Titan Build in Destiny 2 – Gear
Now that we got our abilities nailed down in this Solar Titan Destiny 2 build, let’s look at gear.
The right gear will only serve to elevate your abilities. And there are plenty of options in the game to choose from.
First, address the Mods. These should pair well with your abilities: Bountiful Wells, Melee Wellmaker, Impact Induction, Classy Restoration, Kinetic Siphon, and Bomber.
Now, for our Weapons. Sunshot is useful at causing killed enemies to explode in Solar Energy. Meanwhile, the Monte Carlo Exotic Auto Rifle grants Melee Energy when you kill with it. Also, the Tractor Cannon and Glaive are good for dealing damage too.
Lastly, let’s check out the Armor for our Solar Titan build in Destiny 2. The Heart of Inmost Light Exotic Chest ensures that if you use any ability, you’ll better the regeneration rate of the other two abilities.
Alongside that, the Loreley Splendor Helm is helpful as it can create a Sunspot at your location when you’re critically injured. This might even make the Classy Restoration mod unneeded, freeing you up to use different mods.
