In the early game of Diablo II: Resurrected, you will receive the mission titled “Sisters to the Slaughter,” which will send you to the Monastery Catacombs. This is the area that you will need to traverse to get to the boss, Andariel, and end Act 1 of the game. The location isn’t on your map, so you might need a bit of help to find it. Luckily, this guide can do that. This guide will show you where to find the Monastery Catacombs in Diablo 2: Resurrected.

(Updated on July 29, 2024 – Fact-checked and fixed inconsistencies).

Where to Find the Monastery Catacombs in Diablo 2: Resurrected

To get to the Monastery Catacombs, you need to head to the Rogue Monastery. You should have been there already if you were trying to get to the catacombs, and you should have a waypoint to quickly travel there. If you didn’t activate it, no worries. You just need to head through the Underground Passage found in the Stony Field. Follow the passage until you reach the Dark Wood. Past through here and through the Black Marsh and The Tamoe Highlands. This will bring you to the Monastery Gate.

Where to Find the Monastery Catacombs in Diablo 2: Resurrected

Once through the Monastery Gate, you will find yourself in the Outer Cloister, which is still a bit far until you reach the Monastery Catacombs. Go to the staircase and go down to the Barracks. Be careful, as you are going to face off with some stronger enemies in this area. Once through, find another staircase and head down to the Jail. You will have to battle through three difficult floors until you reach the Inner Cloister. Once at the Inner Cloister, investigate the area until you find the Cathedral and enter it. From there, you will battle a tough group of enemies. Once past them, you will come to the entrance to the Catacombs. Good luck as you enter the four levels of the area and battle Andariel at the bottom.
