Disgusting Ohio Tenants Leave Rented House in Shocking Condition: ‘How Do People Live Like This!!!!’

People have different ways of caring for their homes, but those differences shouldn’t go so far that they put their health at risk. Allowing a house to reach the point where it’s likely no longer safe to live in is one of the worst decisions someone could make. An Ohio landlord shared a video of how some tenants had let the house they were renting reach a shocking condition. He posted a video of himself going inside the house, and you could tell it won’t look good just from the first glance. For starters, there were several cats surrounded by dozens of trash bags. The floor itself looked as if it had never been clean in its lifetime.

In the video posted by the Ohio landlord, you can hear a woman say, “They won’t hurt you.” She was likely referring to the cats, but the cats didn’t seem to be the real problem here. The landlord then walked into a room filled with trash bags and a filthy mattress with a large brown stain on it, something no one would want to know the cause of. Shocked, he said, “Oh my God.” Clothes were scattered across the floor, and the rest of the house looked just as bad. In the caption, he wrote, “Selling everything.” In another video, the landlord showed how the house looked before the tenants lived there. It clearly took a lot of neglect to ruin a place that badly.

People Reacting to the Disgusting Ohio Tenants’ House

People were absolutely shocked by the condition the Ohio tenants left the house in. The short video alone was enough to make anyone feel sick, which led many to question how anyone could live there. One woman asked, “OMFG disgusting how do people live like this‼‼‼‼” When another commented, “Was THEY STILL LIVING IN THEIR????” the landlord replied, “Yes omg.. this was their inspection.” Yikes. The state of the house even made one person write, “I would do inspections all four seasons no shade.” Honestly, it’s hard to imagine that any number of inspections could have prevented something like this.

Some viewers tried to justify what the Ohio tenants did. One person wrote, “Possible underlying health issues. There can be a lot of physical trauma hiding in the body that can make maintaining everyday living hard for many. And then trying to get help can be hard given how judgmental people can be.” This comment frustrated others, who felt there was no excuse for the condition of the house. Another person responded, “Nooooo yall gotta stop this tom foolery, ppl be nasty. And yall wanna blame it on mental health.” If the situation truly involved mental health struggles, hopefully the tenants get the help they need and are able to live in healthier conditions.
