The world of Disney Dreamlight Valley has been full of changes and updates recently. Last week, the game saw the release of its first paid expansion, A Rift in Time, which brought a ton of new content and new characters. Further updates have introduced things like a new seasonal Star Path to the game on multiple platforms, but not all platforms are made equal. Xbox players have noticed a rise in bugs recently, and the developers of Disney Dreamlight Valley have responded by rolling out a new hotfix for their version of the game. More fixes for the game’s other platforms are reportedly coming soon, along with a roadmap of new content reaching into next year.

Disney Dreamlight Valley recently received its first taste of DLC with A Rift in Time. The expansion added a brand-new map, new characters, and tons of new content to the game on all consoles. Unfortunately, the updates that came along with the expansion have been causing issues for Xbox players, who have found themselves without cloud saves or cross-play, among other problems. In response, the team behind Disney Dreamlight Valley has rolled out multiple hotfixes over the last few days, restoring some of the destabilization caused by the updates.

As for players on other consoles, the developers have also updated the PC and Nintendo Switch versions of Disney Dreamlight Valley with a hotfix that includes balanced spawn rates for Tropical Wood, Festive Bows in red and fixed quest blockers. PC users specifically have also received a fix for a game crash that only happened in rainy weather. PlayStation users will also be getting the same fixes at some point, but no further details on that update have been released.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Developers: What’s Ahead

Aside from fixing bugs, the Disney Dreamlight Valley developers have also revealed a roadmap that goes into summer 2024, promising brand-new content for players of the base game and A Rift in Time alike. According to the roadmap, players can expect to see:

  • A Monsters, Inc. Realm and Mike Wazowski added to the Valley in Late Winter for free.
  • Daisy Duck (possibly) will be added to the game for free in Spring 2024 along with Part 2 of A Rift in Time (paid expansion only).
  • A Mulan Realm is coming to the Valley in late Spring (free).
  • Tiana is coming in summer 2024 (free) with Part 3 of A Rift in Time.

Further updates and more additions to Disney Dreamlight Valley can likely be expected as 2024 begins and December’s seasonal events draw to a close.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is now available for PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
