On Monday, April 28th, the Philadelphia Eagles showed up at the White House to meet with Donald Trump after winning Super Bowl 59 against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was up in the air whether or not the team would go to the capital after their victory. However, they did make an appearance. Although President Trump congratulated the team on their big win, he also had a lot to say about a certain singer/songwriter. Trump would take a shot at Taylor Swift during the Eagles’ time at the White House.
According to reports from OK Magazine, Donald Trump would first boast about being the first president to attend the big game. He would then take shots at Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. Trump would take time out of his speech to talk about how he was at the game in person, like Taylor. However, he would then ask the crowd, “How did that one work out?” This was clearly a dig at Swift regarding her involvement in the previous Super Bowl, which the Chiefs had won. However, she was on the losing side this time around. Swift has openly denounced Trump before. She also endorsed his opponent, Kamala Harris, in the previous presidential election. So, it would be safe to say there is a little “Bad Blood” between these two.
Taylor Swift Fans Rise Up Amid Donald Trump Drama
After Trump’s comments regarding the global icon, Swifties took up arms via social media. Many called the current United States president “pathetic” for constantly looking for Taylor’s attention. Many more of Taylor’s fans agreed with those statements.
“He is a narcissist,” said one X user.
“Such a small little man,” wrote another.
Finally, another state, “This right here shows how powerful that woman is, even the leader of our nation needs her attention.”
It seems as though the Swifties are not holding anything back when it comes to Trump.
Donald and Taylor have gone back and forth a few times before. There is a clear hatred between the two of them. However, Swift does not go out of her way to put Trump down publicly. Swift rarely fires first, either. The beef between Donald Trump and Taylor Swift is prominent, for sure. However, it can also give off a very one-sided vibe.
Taylor Swift has not officially responded to Donald Trump’s words as of yet. However, it is very possible that the singer won’t respond at all. Dropping down to that level seems pretty below the billionaire. However, anything is possible. This could end up being the final straw for Taylor. Although for now, fans around the globe and on both sides will just have to wait and watch how it all unfolds. It could be a wild ride.
