During Microsoft’s E3 conference, they showed a gameplay trailer for the third iteration of the Metro series, Metro Exodus. They showcased a demo, played on the newly announced Xbox One X, that featured a fight underground against some rat-wolf like creatures as you struggle to make it above ground. Once you escape the tunnels, you emerge upon a barren town that holds even worse terrors than those underground. The trailer ends as a comrade picks you up on a speeding train.
The series began back in 2010 with Metro 2033 which was then followed by Metro: Last Light in 2013. The games were combined and remastered for the Metro: Redux collection. 4A Games was inspired to make the games after reading through the Metro 2033 series from Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. The games take place in a post-apocalyptic world and provide a fresh perspective from a Russian point of view.
