After the success of Unravel, EA announced today at E3 2017 that there will be a new EA Original released early next year. After many ideas and pitches were sent to EA, they decided to make A Way Out. The game is being made by Hazelight Studios and the team behind Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

A Way Out centers around two inmates, Vincent and Leo, that break out of prison in an attempt to see their families. Much like the previous title from creator Josef Fares, this will be a co-op adventure through online play or couch co-op. The two characters must work together in different ways to ultimately break out of prison and to survive the journey home to their families. Despite the online play option, the develop stressed that couch co-op is where the game will truly shine. As of now, the game has a release window of early 2018.

E3 is only beginning and there is still plenty to see! Conferences begin today and will continue on through Wednesday. For a full schedule, check it out here! As always, The Nerd Stash will be covering the conferences live, so stay with us for all of the biggest gaming news.
