FromSoftware, the developer behindย Dark Soulsย andย Bloodborne,ย have announced their newest title:ย Sekiro – Shadows Die Twice at Microsoft’s E3 press conference today.ย

SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE ใƒ‡ใƒ“ใƒฅใƒผใƒˆใƒฌใƒผใƒฉใƒผใ€2018 E3ใ€‘

This brand new project appears to share the same frenzied yet skillful gameplay that we’ve come to know and love/hate from FromSoftware.ย Sekiro is the story of a ninja as he traverses 15th-century feudal Japan. Our main character appears to have a prosthetic arm that doubles as a super useful grappling hook.ย Tenchu, another series made by FromSoftware, also focuses on ninjas, butย Sekiro – Shadows Die Twiceย is a brand new story and project.

Being published by Activision,ย Sekiroย was teased last year, and the popular speculation was that it was a sequel to the Victorianย Bloodborne.ย However, the bloody, gory close-up, which made up a majority of the teaser trailer, was actually our main character’s prosthetic arm. The teaser trailer ended with the phrase, “Shadows Die Twice.”

No release date has been announced.
