Eden’s Promise is the latest continuation of the storyline featuring Gaia and the restoration of The Empty in The First. This questline that seems to feature music and characters from Final Fantasy VIII seems to be a hit with some players of Final Fantasy XIV so if you enjoyed the earlier Eden content, you’ll not want to miss this either.
How to Unlock Eden’s Promise
The Eden’s Promise Raid can be unlocked first and foremost by completing the Main Scenario Quests up until this point. For whatever reason, the Eden questline requires, at this point, for you to have completed the main story up until 5.3 patch content so it’s always imperative that you complete the Main Story first. Once you’ve done that, you can unlock the required quest by speaking with Yalfort in Mord Souq, in Amy Araeng (X:26.7, Y16.7) after completing all previous Eden content, namely the quest “Worlds Apart”. Those wishing to take part in the Normal version of this Raid will need to have a minimum item level of 485.
Completing the Normal mode of the Raid will award you loot tokens – one per boss per week – that will be redeemable for gear by talking to Ghul Gul in Amh Araeng (X26.6, Y:16.4) or Yhal Yal in Eulmore (X:10.0, Y:11.5). Completing the last branch of the Raid tier will award you with a Blade of Lost Antiquity which can be redeemed at the same NPCs for a weapon of your choice.

Once you’ve completed all of the Normal Eden content you can go straight to the Savage modes of the same content which offers a much higher difficulty and greater rewards. You can unlock the Savage runs by talking to Yalfort again once you’ve completed the Normal versions of the Eden’s Promise tier. Keep in mind that you can only get one piece of gear per boss per week so be sure not to waste your rolls and know exactly what tokens you’re looking for to get the gear you need.
