A Florida man decided to speak up on TikTok after he discovered U.S. service members are being given pitiful amounts of food while fighting the Iran War. He obtained photos of the meals and says that this is happening specifically on USS Abraham Lincoln and several other areas.

Aaron Parnas (@aaronparnas1), a TikToker who focuses on political content, shared news on the serious situation. He shows that there is an inherent rationing situation for sailors who are stationed in the Middle East. Social media and family postings show pitifully small meals that are barely enough to feed a child. The meals are cut into meager potions, with sailors and their family maintaining that people are going hungry.

Aaron shows recently released images of the service member’s meals. He points to one of the meals, which has a little potion of rice with some type of steak skewer. Another tray shows some type of oatmeal and two hard-boiled eggs. They’re the smallest portions ever. Aaron says that a family member was stated as saying that a service member “lost 17 pounds” since their involvement in the war. Aaron maintains that “food rationing” is happening and families can’t get packages to the area. This means that, without proper care packages, these service members will continue to go hungry.

Comments continue to pour in on Aaron’s video, with many commenters showing serious concern for the service members. Others are demanding that the U.S. government take action and show better support for military members. It continues to lead to many heated debates over steps our government can take to prevent this from affecting more people on a daily basis in the Middle East, especially with no end to the war in sight.

One commenter asked, “Where did all that money go?” Another posed a question that so many others are thinking: “How are we spending one billion A DAY but there’s no food budget for our military?!?” Another commenter boldly stated, “This is how you know military funding is going to corporations and not the actual military.”

With more citizens watching the story unfold, they have so many opinions to share about the subject. Time will tell what happens and if there is a resolution so service members don’t go hungry.
