Two girls in Florida are facing backlash online after a video allegedly showed them threatening to burn down a gas station during a dispute over a refund.
The two girls were filmed inside the gas station, standing behind the cashier area as they demanded a refund. It was not clear from the video what they had originally paid for. The situation escalated when one of the girls picked up a lighter from near the counter and began flicking it on, appearing to use it as a warning while making the threat.
There were also several adults standing nearby inside the gas station and one appeared to be calling the police while giving a description of the two girls. During the confrontation one of the girls, while holding the lighter, shouted “I’ll burn this [expletive] down [N-word]” before adding that she was not leaving the store.
The other girl also began yelling and said she would not leave until she received her money back. The first girl then began flicking the lighter again, prompting another man nearby to tell her to stop. She repeated the threat that she would burn down the station. At the end of the video, she yelled that they owed her $30 before cursing at one of the men present. The behavior shocked many viewers online, especially given the apparent young age of the girls involved.
Viewers Shocked Following Florida Refund Dispute
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers expressed shock and outrage over the incident in Florida involving the girls and the alleged threat made at the gas station. Some commenters focused on concern for the children’s future behavior, with one person writing, “These kids don’t stand a chance,” in response to the footage. Other reactions were more politically charged, with one commenter stating, “This is the point that the DEMOCRATS have brought us to. They have pushed and pushed, for these violent SAVAGES, to be given TOTAL PROTECTION from the consequences of their actions. They turned victims into criminals, and CRIMINALS into VICTIMS. YOU CANNOT HATE DEMOCRATS ENOUGH.”
Others discussed the broader context of youth behavior in the state, with some commenters suggesting that minors may act more recklessly due to perceived legal consequences. “14 to 17 year olds in Florida are really bad. They don’t care because they won’t be charged as adults. The adults use them,” one person wrote. Another commenter reflected on the situation in a more sympathetic tone, saying, “this is just sad all the way around… pray for kids ( & sometimes adults too ) that obviously don’t know God & seem to think that sorta behavior will get them results.”
The video was disappointing to many viewers, who expressed concern and disapproval over the behavior shown and the implications of young children allegedly engaging in such a serious confrontation at a gas station.
