Florida Mother Says Mother-in-Law Insisted Blond, Blue-Eyed Daughter Was ‘Clearly Half Black’: ‘Is She Color Blind?’

She is clearly not half black

Florida Woman Says Mother-In-Law Accused Her of Having an Affair Because Her Blue-Eyed, Blond Daughter Was ‘Clearly Half Black’

A Florida mother says her mother-in-law accused her of having an affair based on an unusual claim about her daughter’s appearance. Despite her granddaughter having blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, the older woman insisted the child was “clearly half black” and therefore couldn’t possibly be her son’s daughter.

The woman in question is known online as the Autistic Mom. She often shares content featuring her family, including her daughters, Karma and Karyna. The clip attached above, featuring Karma as the center of attention, went viral, garnering 343,900 views, 31,500 likes, and almost 300 comments.

The Florida woman shared the various reasons her mother-in-law believed that Karma was a product of an affair, and, therefore, not her son’s daughter. After she clarified that Karma was, in fact, her husband’s daughter, she listed the first reason, the most scandalous of the bunch: the girl was “clearly half black.

“My blue-eyed, blond, pale as crap child is clearly black. I’ll let you sit with that one,” she said, as she zoomed into her daughter’s face in the background.

The second reason, according to the mother-in-law, is that Karma looked nothing like her father. Instead, she only looked like her mother. Of course, the Autistic Mom found it outrageous, to say the least.

Finally, the third reason the older woman provided was that, according to her, “all first daughters look exactly like their fathers.” She added, “So if she was his kid, she would look like him and not me. Does she think that I had a kid with myself or somebody else in my family?“

No Contact

To say that these reasons and accusations were beyond inappropriate would be an understatement. The Autistic Mom agrees with that sentiment, and in a follow-up post on Facebook, she revealed what the relationship with her mother-in-law is like nowadays.

There is no relationship at all. According to the Florida mother, her family and her mother-in-law have been no contact for over six years. Her husband, she detailed, went off on his mother for the way she treated her and never believed she had cheated on him. He even refused a DNA test after the Autistic Mom expressed her willingness to take one.

Reactions

The clip sparked multiple responses, mostly from viewers who were shocked by the mother-in-law’s accusations and wild theories and reacted with subtle, comedic jabs. One said, “Umm…is she color blind perchance?” Another one commented, “Well, she’s so light, and when talking about light, black is the absence of color.”

Other viewers had other theories that might explain the mother-in-law’s behavior. One said, “That is a guilty conscience projecting.” Another user, scared by her attitude, wrote, “May this type of psycho MILs never find me.”

While the family says they’ve long since cut ties with the mother-in-law, the unusual accusation continues to resonate online, with many viewers saying they still can’t understand how anyone could reach that conclusion.
