While the topic might not be as relevant as before in some states, people are still getting surprised whenever they see authorities or companies installing Flock cameras in specific places. Even if people have been fighting to remove them or looking for ways to evade them, it seems that those installing them are getting more creative, especially in Florida. One resident recently found a Flock camera hidden in a radar speed trailer, shocking a few citizens as they believe this shouldn’t happen.
User WhySoManyDownVote shared the clip on the state’s subreddit, clearly showing how someone had hidden a Flock camera behind a radar speed trailer.
In the clip, the person approaches the speed trailer and shows how, at a glance, it looks normal. There isn’t anything that would make it seem as if there was something shady going on with it. However, when the one filming approaches the back of the trailer, you can see the Flock camera tucked in a small space.
Many people claim that there is nothing wrong with the Flock camera, however. A few even claim that it will help repo and towing companies, and even some law enforcement officers. Still, some residents are unhappy about how some cities have been pushing Flock cameras, especially since many consider them an invasive thing to have in the streets.
And even if some citizens have come to terms with these devices, the majority of them are still against them and have voiced their concerns on Reddit.
Florida Residents Complain About Flock Cameras
As expected, and after seeing this shady attempt to hide a camera somewhere in Florida, residents started complaining about it, claiming that this is a new “low” for the ones who installed it.
“That’s cheating.”
“Wait until data centers are integrated with these things.”
Others even claimed that this has happened before.
“My wife was pulled over shortly after passing one while speeding. The cop told her it caught her on camera and notified him; when she drove past his parked car, he pulled her over. He said he had a picture of her car and license plate.“
Despite the complaints of many, some people now believe that everyone should get used to seeing these cameras around the city and probably everywhere else. Yet, they also believe that those installing them should be more upfront about it and avoid doing shady things like the one in the video.
