It’s not even been a month since Fox News host Brian Kilmeade casually said that we need to kill all homeless and mentally disabled people. Now, Jesse Waters is in hot water for calling for the bombing of the UN, as well as wishing “injury” on its staff. The reason behind his call to terrorism is that President Trump and Melania’s escalator ride experienced a brief malfunction, followed by another error with the teleprompter during their visit to the UN.
Waters calls these seemingly coincidental inconveniences for Trump an “insurrection,” and that, as a result, “We need to bomb it.” More specifically, the UN needs to be bombed, gassed, or downright destroyed after the US has left it. Of course, the host tried to backtrack on what he said after realizing the building is in New York by saying everyone should vacate before it’s demolished. He then concludes his mini-tirade by saying those people responsible should be hurt, albeit “emotionally.” Such a remark is very akin to a call to violence or harm on people, but ending the comment with “in Minecraft.” Whatever the case, it sounds like another apology is in order for yet another Fox News host.
Trump Supporter Jesse Waters Has Made Bad Comments On Air Before
“Jesse Waters is an advocate for terrorism. Full stop,” remarks a commenter. At this point, “[we] should just label Fox News as a terrorist organization,” another user said in response. This isn’t the first time the Trump-supporting host has come out saying something outrageous on air. One person pointed out how Waters claimed to have let out the air from a female co-worker’s tires so she’d be forced to ask him for a ride home. This allegedly happened when he was still married to his first wife and had children at home. Several more users also recalled how Waters disrespected his mother on live TV years ago.
Distasteful on-air remarks aside, calling for people to bomb the UN over an escalator hiccup is by far the worst the Fox News host has ever uttered. Many online users are outraged at this “dangerous rhetoric,” saying that MAGA has been saying some wild things on all social platforms. Yet, they still manage to shock the public with another heartless, apathetic, and harmful statement. Some are calling back to how, similarly, Donald Trump’s tweet for Trump supporters to “Be there, will be wild!” is what instigated the Capitol riot of January 6th.
Hopefully, nothing will come about from Fox News Jesse Waters’ call to violent terrorism on the UN. Still, the fact that this sort of comment should leave any ‘professional’ TV host’s mouth is unacceptable and clearly irresponsible, especially after Jimmy Kimmel’s temporary suspension.
