Movies can be dangerous for actors, but sometimes it is not always what you think that nearly kills them. Glen Powell recalled a moment that got too close to his demise when shooting a nude scene on top of a cliff for his upcoming rom-com Anyone But You. The scene in question can be seen in the edited-down version of the trailer in which co-star Sydney Sweeney pulls a spider out of his shorts (seen below).
At the premiere last night, Glen Powell talked to Variety about the dangerous nude scene. He had the mentality that he wouldn’t be able to “leave that filming day looking cool,” so he had to “embrace” the moment. But as he went into “grip it and rip it,” he nearly fell off the cliff they were standing on. Despite the near-death experience, it was still “really fun” and “worth it.”
Taking your clothes off on the side of a cliff in a hurry is not safe either. Nobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast. But it’s a really fun scene, so it was all worth it.

The scene had more complications, as the Euphoria star recalled about handling a spider. It had bitten her, which she said was “a whole thing.” Then she had to inspect her co-star for more spiders for the scene that was about a day’s worth of work. Now, she feels “very acquainted with” Glen Powell after seeing him nude.
We will have to see what other antics Glen Powell gets up to beyond his nude scene when Anyone But You releases on December 22.
