Halo season 2 started off strong on Paramount Plus, but while still being watched by millions, it has been outpaced by Yellowstone. The Western is set for its final episodes later this year, so people may want to jump on board or start a rewatch to freshen up their memories as we await for the episodes to drop.
The first season of bringing Master Chief to live-action was a divisive one with choices that started the wrong kind of conversations around the series. On February 8, the second season debuted to an improved reception. For three weeks, it ran supreme on the Paramount streaming service before an uptick in Yellowstone viewership knocked it down a notch.
Halo and Yellowstone Conquer Paramount Plus
Flix Patrol shows how much Yellowstone started to climb the Paramount charts before reaching number one today and knocking the sci-fi series to second place. Starting at the third slot, the top shows go down from South Park, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch; Spongebob Squarepants, Acapulco Shore, Drake & Josh, De Férias com o Ex: América Latina, The Rookie, and Criminal Minds.
Not just for the streaming service but across the streaming landscape, the Western has been one of the biggest shows in recent years. The studio has not been ready to let go, as multiple spinoffs have been in the works or released. There is a single season of 1883, one season and another in the works for 1923, and an order for 1944 and 2024.
No date has been slated for the final part of the series. Yellowstone premiered its fifth and final season on Paramount Plus in November 2022 and went through January 2023. Later this year, we will have the final batch of episodes.
