Totally agree. Many of your points I felt exactly the same way. Tries to hard to be deep and meaningful, horrendous exposition, full of lame red herring jump scenes that cut away immediately from the action, et.c. By the time the twist was revealed I just didn’t care about the characters or story. I give this 5 stars for being a masterclass in what not to do in filmmaking.

I think the reason it’s getting so many good reviews(89% on RT) is because it tries SO hard to be deep and meaningful, that it kind of tricks people into thinking it actually is.
