We have prepared an article for you on how to defend Gerudo Town from Gibdos in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. In Zelda: TotK, you’ll need to find four companions. One of them is named Riju, and you’ll find him in a desert location. As part of the Riju of Gerudo Town quest, you’ll need to help the locals liberate their land from the Gibdos invasion. Even though Riju will help you in the fight, Gibdos are still quite strong opponents, so you definitely need a guide.  Around Gerudo Town, you will see many hives. It is where Gibdos live and reproduce. Your goal is to destroy these hives and the monsters inside so that the town can live a peaceful life again.

After you defeat the Gibdos in the Kara Kara Bazaar, you will return to Gerudo Town. During the conversation with Riju in the throne room, she will ask you to help defend the city against the Gibdos invasion.

First, you will need to place Gerudo Troops. It’s a good idea to place Spear Troops or Sword Troops at the north gate. On one of the side gates (east or west), you should place Cannoneers because they are good against Moth Gibdos. However, this does not greatly affect the course of the battle, so you can place troops as you like. After that, you should go to Riju and tell him that you are ready to defend Gerudo Town from Gibdos in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

During the defense, Riju will create a lightning dome that will weaken the Gibdos. You will deal them a lot of damage if you also use electric weapons.

Make sure that enemies do not get to Riju because if she is knocked out, the mission will start over. Pay special attention to Moth Gibdos because they can get to Riju much faster, but fortunately, they can be destroyed with a single fire or lightning-charged arrow.

Eventually, you will see mushrooms near the Gerudo gate and realize that they are the main source of all Gibdos. You need to destroy them quickly so that they do not continue to multiply. To do this, shoot arrows at the purple glowing marks. This way, you will protect Gerudo Town from Gibdos.

We hope our article helped you defeat the Gibdos and that you can continue your adventures in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

The Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
