In the same iconic style as games like Dead by Daylight, the recently released The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will pit players against each other in a competition for survival. On one side, you have four survivors desperately trying to make their escape from the iconic killers’ homes. On the opposite team, three killers will hunt down the survivors using brutal methods of torture and execution to prevent any such escape. It’s a thrill ride but a confusing one. If you want to learn how to escape in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, look no further! Let us guide you to the exit!
How to Escape The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Exits
At launch, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre only features a single map. As far as multiplayer arenas go, it’s relatively compact, but survivors can track down four primary exits. Each exists spread across the map in various locations, requiring unit methods to open the doors. There is the Generator, Car Battery, Fuse, and Valve. The entire time survivors track down these exit points, the killers hunt them. Thankfully, despite its relatively small size, the map features countless crawl spaces, hallways, and underground routes to escape the killer’s grasp.
Pressure Valve Exit
The pressure valve exit is one of the more difficult approaches due to its proximity to Grandpa. The killers regularly return to the area to feed Grandpa blood, and they can easily spot a survivor attempting to open the main gate.
Unfortunately, this gate is blocked via a pressure valve. First, you need to locate the valve. It’s often scattered about the map, attached to another object or machine, and will be added to your inventory once picked up. From here, please return to the gate, attach the valve to the large canister, and turn it until the pressure goes rampant. It takes time for the gate to open, which provides enough of a window for the killers to reappear and foil the plan.
Car Battery Exit
The car battery exit, located at the rear of the map, is easier to unlock. The gate in question is electrified, connected via the car battery nearby. To remove this obstacle, follow the wiring leading to the old car nearby, then disconnect the battery. The exit will open, and survivors can escape relatively unscathed.
This is one of the easier ways to escape in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Generator Exit
The gate leading to the main road is locked and requires interaction with the generator. It’s the same style of escape route as the car battery, though. You’ll want to track down the generator and kick it to shut it down, then unlock the gate. Unfortunately, it’s not as cut-and-dry as the car battery exit. Instead, you’ll need an unlock tool to open the gate and escape.
Fuse Box Exit
Lastly, there is the fuse box exit. This escape is similar to the first route, the pressure valve escape, in that you’ll first need to track down an object scattered about the map. The object in question is a fuse typically connected to electrical equipment. It’s often found underground. Once found, remove the fuse, then return to the fusebox near the exit point. You’ll also want an unlock tool, like with the generator escape.
This step is a bit trickier, though. To open the fuse box exit, you’ll have to install the fuse by repairing the box. On the right-hand side, there are white numbers below the pairs of fuses. You must place the corresponding numbers on the left to add up to those on the right, which will turn green when activated. It’s time-consuming and frantic, especially with a killer nearby.
If at all possible, opt for a different escape route. Or, let someone who has successfully used the fuse box exit open the door instead.
Once the fuse box is repaired, head back downstairs to the basement to find the door and finally escape in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre!
