Do you want to know how to farm Flax in Valheim? Starting your adventure in Valheim, you must explore the fantastic world of Scandinavian mythology full of dangers and adventures. To progress through the game story, you must master many professions, including gathering, farming, hunting, creating clothes, and much more. But some activities require you to have many skills at once, and farm Flax is one of these. To get Flax in Valheim, you must visit the Plains biome and find the right plant on the farm near the villages. But this location is quite dangerous, so perhaps the best solution is to create your farm.
Where to Find Flax in Valheim
As we said, to find Flax in Valheim, you must travel to the hilly and spacious Plains biome. Despite the peaceful and calming atmosphere, the Plains are a dangerous place inhabited by various creatures. But your goal is a village of little goblin-like monsters – Fulings. Don’t underestimate these creatures, as they are very agile and not easy to kill. But once you’ve eliminated everyone in the village, you can look around the small fields next to the houses and find Flax.
It is worth noting that Flax is rarely in such fields, and you will often find Barley. So you’ll probably have to visit a few villages and a dozen fields before you’re lucky. On the other hand, once you find a Flax field, you can collect around 30-40, which is quite a lot.
After collecting your first Flax, we recommend that you create your farm in a safe place. As you can see, this plant is not easy to find, so a large farm in a convenient location will come in handy. But there are some things you need to know to set up a Flax farm in Valheim:
- It is important to note that you will have to use the Cultivator to transplant Flax. Otherwise, you will only harvest and not be able to transplant a plant.
- Although you can plant Flax on plow land in any location, this plant will only grow in the Plains biome. So immediately create a farm here.
- As for the Flax growth time, you will have to wait 2-3 days of game time.
- While you can harvest handly, it’s much more efficient to use AOE attacks like Stagbreaker. In addition to being able to farm faster, you won’t lose Flax during this harvest.
