Wax might not necessarily be one of those resources you see in Enshrouded and think “Hey, I really need some of that.” Unfortunately, you would be wrong. There are loads of uses for Wax in-game, and unfortunately, if you don’t know where to look, it can be pretty frustrating to try to find it. Wax is useful for a couple of main things. However, if you want to be able to see in your base at night in your early game stages, it’s an absolute necessity.
Where To Find Wax in Enshrouded
Wax is found where you would expect it to be found, as well as in a couple of other places that you might not be expecting. You can find Wax, along with Honey in Beehives, which are easily the most farmable location for them. Oftentimes, Beehives spawn around the low-level areas of the map where you can find enemies with levels ranging from 1-5.

If you placed down your initial Flame Altar in the location you were instructed to in the tutorial, you would have automatically created the best Wax farming situation in-game already. Every night, resources respawn making them easy to collect every day. However, surrounding the initial base location, there are loads of trees that will spawn Beehives in them. The best thing about it, though, is the fact that if you don’t collect from your Beehives right away, they will continue to spawn, stacking in the trees surrounding your base area. If you’re lucky, you can collect anywhere from 2-3 Wax in a single tree surrounding your initial Enshrouded base.
If you haven’t set up shop in one of these areas, there’s an alternative for finding Wax that could still be quite useful. Whenever you come across a Flame Shrine or Ancient Spire, you’ll notice there are some vases surrounding the areas. Oftentimes, when you break these vases, you can collect impressive amounts of Wax, Salt, and Bonemeal.

- Wax is primarily found in Beehives surrounding lower-level areas.
- If you can’t find Beehives in trees, you can find Wax in vases surrounding Flame Shrines and Ancient Spires.
