Want to know about the Stone Tongue location in Final Fantasy 16? Despite Final Fantasy 16’s gripping storyline, only side content will allow you to get better gear and fight unusual bosses. And likely, as you progress through the game, you can fight 32 powerful mini-bosses to complete the Hunt Board. Defeating these creatures, you can get the rarest materials needed to craft the best equipment, and Stone Tongue is one of them. Using Stone Tongue, you can create Ouroboros, the best belt in the game and a reference to the series’ iconic antagonist, and today we’ll show you how to get this material in Final Fantasy 16.

To get Stone Tongue in Final Fantasy 16, you must accept an order on the Hunt Board for a mini A-rank boss named Agni and defeat it. You can find this boss by heading northwest from the Edge of Infinity Obelisk. You don’t have to look for this boss; he will automatically pop out of his lair once you get too close. But you can only participate in the hunt for this boss on the Hunt Board after traveling through Greatwood.

How To Defeat Agni

Speaking of fighting Agni, you have to be ready for anything. Sneaky double attacks in close combat, turning into the speed wheel or a fire beam, all of which can lead to your unforeseen death. So here are a few tips so that you can defeat Agni as quickly as possible:

  • First, beware of the boss’s double attack. When he attacks with one paw, he will inevitably strike again with the second.
  • If Agni leans to one side, he will start to roll in the opposite direction. Instead of running away, only move perpendicularly away from his head and back up periodically.
  • The fire attack shoots at a long distance and does a lot of damage, but this attack is slow to aim. So don’t panic and walk in circles.
  • If the boss is turning into a wheel, you should move further away so you can dodge. It is a fast attack for a lot of damage, but you only need to let the boss crash into the walls a few times before he stops rolling.

Once you defeat Agni and get Stone Tongue as a reward for killing him, the only way to use this material is to create Ouroboros. As we said earlier, Ouroboros is the best belt in Final Fantasy 16, with excellent Defense 95 and Health 32. So if you already got Stone Tongue, here are the materials you will need besides Stone Tongue to craft Ouroboros:

  • Stone Tongue x1
  • Orichalcum x1
  • Comet Feather x1

Final Fantasy 16 is available on PlayStation 5.
