The Wicked Implement Catalyst is in high demand thanks to its benefits to the Exotic Stasis Scout rifle bearing its name in Destiny 2. While the rifle is just okay, you wouldn’t want to miss equipping it with the Catalyst to maximize its benefit. Unlike acquiring the weapon, getting hands on the Catalyst doesn’t require a timed run. We will explain everything about the Wicked Implement Catalyst, including how to obtain it and its use in Destiny 2.
Getting Wicked Implement Catalyst in Destiny 2
Obtaining the Catalyst turned is guaranteed, but certainly no small task. You can acquire it by opening a Tier 7 chest at the end of the Deep Dive seasonal activity. It’s important that you complete all three Pressure Trials, which are optional activities in each tier. Once you successfully clear each encounter, you’ll receive the Wicked Implement Catalyst. We recommend doing these Deep Dives with a team of friends and not in a random lobby, as activating each trial requires the entire squad to start each trial. This will make the entire experience much easier to pull off.
How to Equip the Wicked Implement Catalyst
Once you have the Catalyst, you must equip it to utilize the benefits. If you want to farm kills fast for this weapon, you can use the Deadfall Tether ability and the Orpheus Rig exotic legs on your Hunter to farm the Shuro Chi encounter. Wicked Implement is slow and lacks DPS, so that low-difficulty encounters will work best.
What the Wicked Implement Catalyst Does
The Wicked Implement’s Creeping Attrition perk slows and freezes enemies when you land rapid precision hits. The Tithing Harvest perk creates Stasis shards that return to you when you score precision final blows while Creeping Attrition is active. The Wicked Implement Catalyst synergizes with both of these perks by overflowing the magazine when you collect Stasis shards. While this doesn’t compensate for the slow fire rate and lack of DPS, it helps a lot in combat and is required to make this weapon viable for Stasis builds.
That sums up our guide on getting the Wicked Implement Catalyst in Destiny 2 Season of The Deep.
Destiny 2 is playable on PlayStation devices, Xbox devices, and Windows.
